Have a question?
Are you still doing an Audiobook of this?
Hey, Danielle. Yes, I'll start releasing the podcasts of the stretch goal interviews shortly and the final eBook will be delivered at the end of October! Thanks so much!
I'm very excited about this! Are you still on track for October?
Hey, Patty! Thanks for the note. As noted during the campaign, the book will be finished and delivered in October of this year. I'll update again soon -- but your PDF will arrive next month! Thanks so much!
Hi! i just realized that I didn't get the PDF file as I pledged for. It turn out the confirmation and survey email or whatever went to junk box. So i just found it today, and of course I couldn't download or get any thing. which I think is not really good, I am new to kickstarter and your project was the first one I pledged for. So how can I get those file?
Thanks for your kindly understanding and hope to hear from you.
I can't wait for the Kickstarter Secrets ebook! No, literally... my Kickstarter only has 10 days left and I feel I am missing something that is probably explained in your book. Anyway - congrats and I look forward to reading your wisdom this fall. :-)
Hey, Scott! Thanks for the kind words and thank so much for backing! You're gonna love the graphic novel bundle -- we'll make it awesome for ya! :-)
Thanks for the note, Rob! I'll definitely address those questions in the book. One thought in general, though... I don't know of a single magic bullet or service that can pull in guaranteed coverage for a project. It's all based on building a reputation and relationships over time and doing the research to find venues with an interest in the project's subject matter and reaching out in smart ways. It's a long term process tied into each individual's career building that begins months or years before launching a Kickstarter. In the book, I'll go into this with much more depth and include tons of specific, practical examples and tips of how to best make use of any existing media contacts and build more.
I struggled with either the issue bundle or the graphic novel bundle. Settled on the graphic novel bundle. Hope I chose wisely. Been loving your work for DC!
I've been looking to put together a course on launching a successful Kickstarter, and have a list of Inventors I'll blast this campaign out to, so they can benefit from this book.
A question I'd be interested in is; What are the proven methods to drive quality traffic (paid and unpaid) to your Kickstarter campaign and generate media buzz ?
Hi, since you asked for questions: I would appreciate any hands on recommendations and - probably even more important - the most essential decisions to make regarding international fulfilment - thx
Looking forward to your advice. I've backed over 1,600 Kickstarters and give out advice all the time. I look forward to having another good book to recommend. Happy repeat backer.
Thanks for the kind words, Guy! And thanks for backing and for the question, Nathan!
I'd say CODE MONKEY SAVE WORLD would probably be rated PG if it were a movie.
THE PRINCESS WHO SAVED HERSELF and ABC DISGUSTING are both children's picture books that are probably best for kids somewhere in the 3-8 year old range. Younger kids may need the books read to them; older kids can handle them on their own.
And you can probably get a good sense of if the books are appropriate for the kids you're thinking of by checking out the preview pages:
Thanks so much!
Cool project, I look forward to seeing the tips and secrets book. As a person not at all familiar with the other three books in the package, what would you say is the appropriate age range for those books? Thanks!
This is what I've long desired -- practical, useful advice on Kickstarter from a veteran creator. A bargain at this price! Thanks, Greg! This is a no-brainier backing decision for anyone even marginally interested in the Kickstarter process.
