The Jello Wrestling Extravaganza is an event organized, produced, hosted, and performed by women. It’s equally brutal and beautiful, sexy and exciting. It’s a real sport and crazy stage-show all in one. In two years we’ve hosted ten sold out shows in Seattle, featuring a large range of brave, athletic ladies. It’s been a blast, and we’ve seen a consistently growing fan base and regular media attention.
There’s no denying that both men and women love to see a giant pool filled with jello and half-naked hotties. It’s loud, it’s messy, and it’s extremely entertaining. Although not a new concept, we’ve found a way to make it a unique battle royale. We turned a cliché misogynistic pseudo-sport into a bone-chilling showcase, complete with host, referee and a parade of bloodthirsty competition.
We have so much fun putting this show on, and we've been blessed with amazing fans. Unfortunately this type of event is not a money-maker. Due to high production costs and having so many people involved, there has never been enough cash left over to get our film off the ground.
Having so much fun putting on the show, and taking part in such chaos backstage; we know that fans would kill to be a part of it all. Even people who’ve never experienced a jello wrestling bout would be glued to their television sets. The next logical step is bringing this excitement to the masses in a unique and comedic way. We’ve decided to turn our show and this sport into a full-length feature film, a mockumentary of sorts. Following the top girls through training, production, wrestling, and the aftermath of it all. You’ll see the screaming fans, the backstage cat fights, and be thrown into the middle of the insanity surrounding the sport. Watch as our main character combats injury, fatigue, and morality; clawing her way to the top in pursuit of the championship belt. You’ll have the referee in your face blowing the whistle, as girls disrobe and jello hits your screen in a giant glob of green. It’s like “Rocky” and “Spinal Tap” combined, with hilarious dialogue, awkward situations, and more nudity than you can handle.
We plan to start production by November of this year in Seattle, Washington. Filming at a range of locations, including small theaters, concert halls, and public spaces. We will compile a small team of talented filmmakers, including an established cinematographer, sound designer and editor. The main team of actors will consist of our seasoned jello wrestling fan-favorites, local talent and models. Our team is filled with passionate crew members all dedicating their time and energy to make this movie come to life. Throughout the process you can keep updated on the film's progress and view behind the scenes footage through our official VIP mailing list. Backing our project in any increment will get you on this list.
Where the money will go
We want to make the best film possible. To reach this goal we need the financial backing necessary for equipment rental, location costs, props and staging, professional crew compensation, and other expenses involved in production, distribution and marketing. Without reaching our financial goal, we lack the adequate resources to make this happen. Revenue from our forthcoming shows will be put toward this project, but this won’t be nearly enough to finish production. This is a sport for the fans, and we need the support of the fans to make this a reality. These girls have put their hearts and souls into putting on the most entertaining exhibition possible, and they need your help!
A portion of the proceeds made from the release of this film will be donated to the Wayne Foundation, a charity to fight the sexual exploitation of children. Please take a moment to check out their website: http://www.viewaskew.com/thewaynefoundation/
What is Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is a new platform for fundraising projects and gaining community support. It's an all or nothing concept in which we have 45 days to raise our budget or we do not receive any funds. If we fail to reach our financial goal, any backing you offered will not be charged.
How to back this project
Just click the "Back This Project" button and you will be asked what amount you want to donate as well as the rewards you will receive for participating. You will need to set-up an Amazon account to enter your payment information and be charged ONLY if our goal is reached at the end of the campaign. You can monitor this page for our fundraising progress.
We understand that not everyone who backs this project will be able to make it to Seattle to receive their rewards. So, we've structured the rewards in a way that should please both locals and backers nationally, offering special items that can be fullfilled from a distance.
