We are a company that believes something small can inspire greater things. We don't believe that everything is disposable. Through innovation, we dream of consumer waste being eliminated altogether. We want people to stand up for Mother Nature because her voice often goes unheard.
We started Greentag to make a difference. We are tired of seeing recycle symbols printed on crisp new t-shirts pretending to be Eco-friendly. Isn't the mantra Reduce, Reuse, Recycle? That's exactly what we do with our t-shirts. It takes more than 700 gallons of irrevocably damaged water to grow and process enough cotton for one t-shirt. That's enough water to quench a person's thirst for 900 days. Why should we use valuable diminishing resources to produce more shirts that are just going to get discarded like garbage? We are dedicated to salvaging these shirts and other materials, turning them into great products without harming the planet.
Please help us Kickstarters! We need help funding our first production run which includes:
- Buying post-consumer shirts in bulk
- Washing them with an eco-friendly silicon softener
- Sorting tees based on pre-existing designs (prepping for print)
- Silk screen printing
- Buying tags and flags
- Cutting and Sewing pocket tees, wallets, and trimmings
- Packaging kit and shipping them all out to you!
- If we exceed our goal... we will release our future plans with stretch funding.
Each of our graphic shirts are available in two options of your choosing: blank or assorted. Our blank option consists of a graphic printed over a salvaged blank white tee. Our assorted option offers something a bit more complex. We print one of our graphics over a salvaged white tee that already has a pre-existing design, making each assorted tee entirely unique.
Each of our pocket tees uses a post-consumer blank tee. The pocket's fabric comes from upcycled handkerchiefs, bandanas, and scarfs. We don't have the capabilities to let you choose the pocket design yet, so you'll just have to trust us to pick it for you. It's a gamble, but trust us they are worth it.
All of our wallets are made from salvaged leather. We get our leather from a local jacket manufacturer that normally discards the scraps. The size and limited quantity of the scraps make them difficult to resell. Each wallet is embossed with our logo and is limited to the amount of leather we recover.
In addition to designing Eco-friendly products we have committed to donating 1% of our revenue to environmental organizations around the world. We belong to a cohort of businesses and individuals that are dedicated to protecting the planet. If you want to learn more about the network click the 1% logo below.
If you got this far down the Kickstarter, we are honestly very thankful and a little amazed. We really appreciate that you took the time to check out what we are all about. You may or may not have contributed to our Kickstarter, either way, we hope that you take what we have said to heart and rethink your lifestyle choices.

Risks and challenges
We buy our shirts from a used textile collection center. It takes up to a month to build up to the minimum order. If we are extremely successful, we would have to up the order quantity which would extend the delivery time.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
