As you may have noticed we haven't posted an update here in awhile. We are going to transition our news to newsletters moving forward. Our next update will be here and via newsletter but will likely be our last update on these campaigns in Kickstarter.
The updated rulebook is almost ready!! Before we finalize the rulebook for printing we will make it available for review and the file will be ready next week so you can all take a look! We need your feedback to make sure there isn’t anything we missed.
We hope you all have been playing the game quite a lot and can make sure we addressed any points you might have had questions on.
Once we print out the rulebook, we will have printed copies available to pick up for free at any convention we attend. For those of you who can’t make it to a convention, we will also offer to ship a copy of the updated rulebook if you would like one for only the cost of shipping. Of course, you are also more than welcome to simply print out the new rules. The new version of the rulebook is printer friendly sized at 8.5”x11”!
We need your support and help spreading the word about our first digital game based off of Zpocalypse! The project is continuing to move towards its goal and we are over 30% funded with 22 days to go. If we had each of our original backers join on to get the digital game at the low price of $10 that would give us an additional 50% of our funding goal!
You can check out the Kickstarter now where you can find gameplay videos as well as download the pre-alpha demo. Also, you can show your support on Steam Greenlight. We are 55% of the way to the top 100 on Steam Greenlight and the closer we get to the top, the more exposure we will get. (Note we plan to use other distributions methods in addition to Steam that provide DRM Free options.)
We think some of you will be especially excited to see the return to being able to get yourself into the game, this time in a digital world! There are a number of different options to get yourself, one way or another, into the digital game.
If you have any ideas, suggestions, or feedback on the Kickstarter please let us know since this digital title wouldn’t have even came to fruition without your original support and feedback for the Zpocalypse board game!
Heavy Steam Board Game Geek Contest.
To help drive awareness of our new board game, Heavy Steam, we have launched a giveaway contest. By heading over to BGG you can win a chance to get the game for free, and even the ability to have your head shot illustrated on a card!
It has been some time since an update and we have missed you! We wanted to tell everyone about a few exciting things happening over the next few weeks and into the future.
An updated rulebook is in the works from the great (UniversalHead of the Esoteric Order of Gamers) We plan to make the PDF available for everyone by (Summer). After compiling a lot of input from all of you, and keeping track of it in the FAQ and errata sections of our website, we were able to make the instructions flow better.
For now head on over to our website to check out his short 2 page rules adaptation.
We have our own booth at PAX East this year! Come find us at booth #199 to view a new digital project we will be talking more about next week, some of the Zpocalypse expansions, play a game of Ninja Dice or Hull Breach or demo our up-and-coming game listed below... read on!
Our new board game Heavy Steam is a steampunk themed strategy and resource management game that uses mechs called steam titans in miniature based combat!
Set in a steampunk universe, Heavy Steam is a game about piloting a giant mechanical humanoid war machine of doom. As a pilot you use the steam titan’s resources to strategically complete scenario objectives. More often than not it’s to defeat your opponent, but you’ve never shied away from a fight, have you?
- In Heavy Steam you play the role of a pilot controlling your steam titian’s systems from the command center inside its head.
- Fully customize your steam titan: choose a robot, recruit your pilot, then customize with weapons of your choice.
- Plan ahead if you want to power your legs, weapons or other systems.
- The battle board is abstracted with easy to master combat.
- Event cards, terrain cards and other cards keep the game fresh and new every time you play.
For all of those who enjoyed the custom portraits on your cards we have introduced a new Kickstarter Heavy Steam with yet another opportunity to get your face on a card!
Lastly we will leave you with some recently painted miniatures of our Zmergency: Hospital Horde.

While we are waiting for Aftermath to ship, we have been busy working with designer Rocco Privetera to bring his game to life! We are pleased to announce that Ninja Dice is now on Kickstarter! Ninja Dice is a fast-paced, push-your-luck dice game with a unique mechanic: where the dice land is important! Each turn in Ninja Dice you'll create a House filled with challenges and use your Ninja skills to beat them. Move Quick! The other Ninjas are also rolling dice to attack you, and each other, because the Ninja with the most treasure wins! We are already over 45% funded with 40+ days left in the campaign and we are still making steady progress.

We had a great time at Gencon! It is always great to meet some of our backers at cons! Our booth was very busy and all of our demo time slots were sold out. Our next convention is the Boston Festival of Indie Games Sept. 14th in Cambridge MA. We hope to see some of you there!
Aftermath Pre - Order At Kickstarter Prices
We wanted to give everyone a heads up that we have a pledge manager available on our site that will allow you to still pledge for certain levels of our Aftermath Kickstarter campaign. New backers will be able to pledge for a limited time while supplies last. Also remember, international backers will receive a discount on shipping when they back for the Aftermath campaign. You must email us to be able to apply the credit for you before you check out.
At this moment we only have 175 Fortress levels left. This is your last chance to get it at a 40% savings off retail! That is about $80 in savings. This level includes almost all the Aftermath items, with the exception of the "Adapter Set 2.0" which can be added as an addon. Click here to order - > https://secure.greenbriergames.com/gms/
With the games out to everyone and a lot of new people picking it up at GenCon we would like to ask anyone that has the time to head over to BoardGameGeek.com and review the game for us. Please be honest and tell us what you think after you’ve played it. Now that we have a new influx of players we would love to have some more current reviews in there!
Squad Board App
Since this was released earlier this year we wanted to let everyone know we do have a small little app that may be used as a digital Squad Board for the game. There are two versions and it is available for both Android and iOS devices. Keep in mind it is intended for use on tablets as the dials can be a bit difficult to manipulate on small mobile screens.
There are two versions available, a free version that is just the basic Squad Board. The second is a premium version that allows you to change between the different squad board textures, name your Squad, and comes with 4 soundtracks attached to the four phases of the game to enhance your gaming experience, all for only $0.99!
Good news everything is approved and manufacturing has started. We should see final production samples mid October. Those are the last samples we get to approve to catch any last minute mistakes. This means at this moment ( knock on wood ) we are on schedule to deliver in December.
We have a new game in the works coming up on kickstarter very-soon called Ninja Dice! The premier of Ninja Dice was a huge success at Gencon.
