GRAINS: (n.) A huge collaborative art show by friends, for friends.
GRAINS is a huge, one night only, multi-media art show providing a venue for artists to showcase their work at no cost to them, while they keep 100% of their sales. Your donation will allow us to hang and light the artwork, build a stage for our performers, print posters & flyers, and help support a fee-free environment for artists that may not be able to afford other shows.
We have over 40 diverse artists stretching from LA to Paris, from 10 years old to 65. We’re focusing on the beauty of diversity and collaboration of both emerging and established artists, from the middle-school illustrating sensation, Malakai Oliver to the timeless rock n’ roll photographer, Ivy Ney. GRAINS takes the best photographers, painters, illustrators, sculptors, projectionists, and installation-makers, and makes one big tasty art pie. Don’t forget about the musical, dance, and cirque performances too! In the heart of Los Angeles, GRAINS promises to bring amazing talent, and a great night. Come try our food and drinks, while getting in some early Valentine's day shopping by some of LA’s best craft vendors. Besides the reasonably priced art and a free entrance there are many unique incentives for donating including exclusive pieces from the artists themselves, juggling lessons, and even the chance to pick the next tattoo one of our artists will receive. Please help us make GRAINS a reality of expression and livelihood for our talented friends. We hope to see you February 2, 2013. We would love to share and support our favorite artists with you!

GRAINS is the first of many projects put on by HiBay Art, and although we have faced the inevitable challenges that come with putting together a first-time project of this scale, we continue to be positive and perseverant. We have already invested over 1,000 volunteer hours determining permits, securing locations, selecting artists, budgeting, and more. We are passionate about supporting artists and their talents and we will see GRAINS through its fruition. HiBay Art is extremely blessed to have a wonderful and faithful support system that believes in us. This project is filled with all of our hearts and souls. It keeps us inspired and alive and we have no other choice than to make this a reality.
Shipping depends on the reward and the mailing address. Most rewards are also available at the show for pick up Saturday, February 2, 2013 at The Triples 333 S. Fair Oaks, Pasadena, CA 91105.
A few artists will be donating their works. You will get a choice from those selected pieces, first come, first served.
