WOW! THANK YOU Supporters!! Though I have still 20 days left, I will be able to make this project EVEN BETTER with your continued support. I set the goal fairly low so funding would be achievable, but if you can help me get me to the $4000 mark, I will be able to hire some awesome guest musicians for the album, be able to stage live performances in 2011, and ensure the overall future of this project in the long term.
You can still get all the REWARDS to the right when you continue to support my project. For example, pledge $15 and you can PRE-ORDER the CD and Chapbook.

Why do I need the Money?
I intend to record an album of the ten songs and print a chapbook of the ten illustrations. I need to raise money to cover those costs. The recording at a friend's studio plus the cost of CD production and replication will cost between $1,700- $1,800. Printing, cropping and binding the chapbooks will be an additional $200-$300. I intend to use the most sustainable and minimal packaging and printing materials as possible.
Weren't you Awarded an Arts Grant for this Project?
For the live performance, I was awarded a grant from 4Culture, an arts organization in Seattle, to do a free public performance of my songs and illustrations. However, most of that money is going toward the venue fee, event insurance, paying several guest musicians, videography and technicians. There is about $50 left over to pay for the recording of the songs and to print and bind the chapbook of the illustrations. So essentially I would like to raise money to complete the recording and archiving of a project that is already underway yet under-funded.
What YOU Get!
I've created a list of rewards to the right that include everything from digital downloads of the songs, to a physical album and chapbook, a drawing lesson, a hand-drawn portrait of you in my style, and finally a live show.
You can help me make this recording and printing a reality!!
