Good People needs your help!
A family friendly hippie shop in South Knoxville, TN
Business has been horribly slow lately and we are finding it impossible to restock for Christmas. Some of our customers suggested we try a little crowdsourcing to help get us through the holidays and keep us from closing for good. If we miss the holiday sales cycle we'll never get through January and February. We have been open for about a year and a half and we want to keep going. We are not asking for any handouts here, we are offering products that we produce and sell in the store. We're just trying to raise money to restock and reach a wider audience so we can keep our doors open. You're not simply buying products from us, you are supporting a local small business and getting a thank you in return. (Plus, doing good feels good)
About Good People...
Good People is a family friendly hippie shop (not a head shop). Owned and ran by a really cool guy and his just ok mom, both Knoxville natives. We are dedicated to promoting goodness and kindness and are a proud representative of the up-and-coming South Knoxville small business scene. We want to be more active in all parts of the city with our "Good People Clean Up Knoxville" program. We at Good People, along with volunteers will get together & help clean up parks, creeks, & roadways around Knoxville.
You Can Tie Dye Your Own Shirt on site!
Anyone at any age can make a one of a kind tie dyed shirt in our shop! Just pick out a white shirt off our rack and choose a design and colors. We will twist it up to match the design and you apply the dye yourself. (We will be helping to make sure your shirt is a success). We even let you bring a shirt from home for half price.
You don't have to be "Good People" to come, but you have to be "Good People" to stay!
We welcome diversity at Good People & will stand for nothing less! Inside our walls, one is free from judgement regarding religion, politics, orientation, color, or gender. The only ones that will feel uncomfortable, of course, are the Jerk Faces. So no Jerk Faces allowed! Everyone else, please help us stay open!
Thank you so much for taking a look!!!
Risks and challenges
In a nutshell, we are asking for help to keep our doors open by raising funds for inventory and to spread the word through advertising. We know South Knoxville is growing and we believe that if we can hold on until the redevelopment is finished Good People can thrive. We are open to any suggestions or ideas. Thank you to all of our most loyal customers who have supported us from day one!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
