The relationships we have with our dogs are as uniquely personal as any we have with humans. Dogs are more than our friends, they're our family. Creatures that love with no conditions attached. Except maybe treats and walks. Sadly, their lives are but a fraction of our own, and so most of us who share a life with a dog will feel the gut punch of losing it.
But in that sorrow is beauty. Wonderful memories of special times that will stay with us forever.
These are the stories we're looking for in Gone Dogs.
And this is the book that every dog lover will want to own.
Our goal with Gone Dogs is to create the most beloved book about dogs ever published using stories from regular people who want to share their tributes with the rest of the world.
In order to reach our goal, we have to reach as many people as possible with our call-for-entries. We've built a robust website to process and manage uploaded files, we've got the book layout and publishing set to go, and we have a team of editors and readers ready for the content. Now we need to spread the word.

Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge we face in our project is gaining enough traction via word-of-mouth. We're going to rely on our backers and our network to ensure that our call-for-entries casts the widest net possible.
