Dear travelers,

Thank you for an amazing second day!

Unlocked Goals

Since our last update, you have unlocked a new feat and five player aid cards. We will talk about Feats in this update.

During our night hours we also revealed a new goal in our campaign page that you already unlocked. This cotton bag will be a better way to store all your metal goodies from the add-ons. It is our token of appreciation for all your early support! Hope you like it!

Feats of Iwari

So far we’ve revealed three different types of components that bring new ways to play Iwari: Expedition cards will bring public missions that everyone can complete, different maps that alter the way you interact with the game and the feats, which are scoring multipliers for tents and totems in the different territories and connections across Iwari.

Discovery: Unlocked by being the first at closing up a territory. Place the pawn in any other territory.
Placement bonus: At the end of the game, count and add the points for tent majority for all players in that territory one more time.

Eagle (Source): Unlocked by being the first player to have a majority of 2 or more in dead end roads tent spaces. Place the eagle in any territory.

Placement bonus: At the end of the game, count and add the points for tent majority for all players in that territory one more time.

Honor: Unlocked by being the first player to have a majority in any land connection. Place the pawn in any other connection.
Placement bonus: At the end of the game, count and add the totem points for all players in that connection one more time.

Uncharted Paths

An unexplored island. Its sand is pristine as if it was timeless. Nobody’s land hides miles away from paths and valleys. Violent tides circumnavigate its shores, rare poisonous plants bordering the island will keep tribes away and force them to explore deprived from their sight, enhancing all other senses to create the first path that has ever crossed the Terra Nullius.

Our next goal was created in-house by Pier Paolo Paoletti with the guidance of Michael Schacht to create an interesting scenario where all the players will be able to share the void totems in the center of the map to move them around for their own advantage or to block an important spot.

During their turn, players can play a single card to take a void totem from the center island to place it in an available totem space on the same colored territory they are exploring.

Players will also be able to move a void totem from one territory to another by playing two cards, one for each of the territories of the exchange.

Void totems will also count for majorities.

We really had a lot of fun creating all this additional content for the game. If you have any question about the game play of Iwari, write us a message in the comment section!

Thank you once again for all your support towards us and Iwari.

Sincerely yours,
Everybody here at ThunderGryph Games

Ah, like the longest track in TICKET TO RIDE!

@Jim, from what I've read about the Feats they sounds similar to the "longest road" card from Catan where they're always available as a goal to work towards but in this situation only the first to meet the requirements gets the bonus.

I suppose you could also mix and match depending how many get added to change what people are focusing on in each game.

@FSP I agree, especially the "majorities" stated in the Source and Honor feats. I'm assuming a glossary of game terms will be included, but if not, please add one! :)

So some of these seem to make more sense for multi-player games. Can the void token, for example, be used in Solo play?
      :)

I hope all those rules are clear and detailed in the Rulebook. Quite confusing now...
      xD

So are all feats used in every game or do you randomly select a few of them?

I still not really understand on the void totem system, could you make a video about it?

The cotton bag looks great, I'm glad I backed early! Very excited to see what else you have planned for this game, can't wait to get it :)
