THE HILARIOUS GAME THAT WILL TAKE ANY PARTY FROM BORING TO BLOCKBUSTER
Have you ever gotten bored at a party? Have your game nights become dull and repetitive? Maybe it's because you don't know the all people or personalities in the group ... maybe it's because you aren't good at trivia ... maybe you're tired of all the party games consisting of nothing but cards.
This is what happened with my friends and I, but we just KNEW there had to be something better out there.
We knew there had to be something that would make our friends want to never miss one of our parties ever again....that would make every party we threw epic.
We wanted our parties to last all night and be so fun, that everyone would be talking about it the next day.
But no game we found could provide all that.
Which led us to the conclusion that it was TIME FOR A CHANGE.
So we play-tested different combinations of all the timeless, classic party games that everyone loves, and figured out the best way to mash them up into one single hilarious game.....GoatDangle!
The worst thing about this game is figuring out how to get everyone to stop playing when it's time for the party to end!
How is this possible, you ask?
For starters, there isn’t a single card in this game, which instantly makes it way more interactive, hands-on and fun to play. It's primarily a Flip-Cup and Quarters game, but also uses aspects of Party Pong, Thumper and rule-making card games like King’s Cup/Circle of Death. (Not to mention, you can play for points with the scoresheet with your family, or if you're 21+ and want to explore alternatively fun ways to play the game, we included those rules, too! And don't forget, you'll need TWO copies of the game in order to play a couple of the alternate versions!)
Why those five games? Simple. They were the best games back in the day, so we're honoring the games that set the trend for all future parties.
SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW....
For decades and millions of people, what they looked forward to at parties was playing those 5 classic games. The reason they've been so popular for so long is because they all use human talent, skill, creativity and a little bit of luck, not just mindlessly doing what a card says.
We recognized this fact, and wanted to honor the timeless games that provided so many of us countless memories with our friends. So, to provide some continuity into parties of the future, we took aspects from those five games and combined them into one hilarious party game.
REPLAYABILITY LIKE A BOSS
Because most games have a set amount of cards that come in a box, with exactly one way to play it, a lot of games tend to get boring and tedious after you’ve played them a few times. They aren't memorable. They have Zero Replayability. Plus, since most of them involve needing to know the personalities of everyone playing the game, or needing to be good at trivia; they really just become one big guessing game, so you have no control over winning... it's just straight arbitrary luck.
GoatDangle! is ever evolving and always different based on who’s playing and how creative they get. Because it’s not based on personalities or trivia, everyone will instantly have fun, and will keep wanting more….…AND we created FIVE different versions of the game that you can play with the same board (or two), with as little as two people and as many as you have table space for... so the possibilities for fun are quite literally endless!
And, with a lifetime of playing board games and different party games, and years spent testing the game with friends, family and strangers around the country…
My team and I know what it takes to create a customizable, crazy fun party game that meets the needs of our backers…
WAIT. A CUSTOMIZABLE PARTY GAME?!
Yep! We intentionally left the three pegs unpainted, so you could customize it with your favorite colors or design, and make it your own! We also couldn’t care less if you make up your own rules….don’t like something we put in there? Fine. Don’t do it. We don’t care. As long as you still "Flip the cup, Roll the dice, and Bounce the quarter", it doesn't matter what you change up. It’s a blast the way we wrote it, but if you find a better way for your group to play a certain part, then do that instead…you won’t hurt our feelings!
WHY DOES THIS MATTER TO YOU AND THE REST OF THE WORLD?
At GoatDangle Games, our mission is to create fun games that become the catalyst to a great event. We turn boring parties into epic nights through energetic interactions, witty ingenuity and by reveling in our own weirdness.…all while having a conscience.
Yes, you read that right. A board game company with a conscience. Profits are nice, but that's not all we're here for.
The Founder, Aaron, always had a dream with this company...that it would provide the way to make his mark on the world. By creating a trendy new board game enjoyed by millions around the world, while also doing good and helping the less fortunate, Aaron will finally be able to fulfill his passion. To learn more about how he will be accomplish this, check out www.GoatDangle.com (after this Kickstarter campaign is over) to read more about that part of Aaron's story.
While the main board and components do not have different color options, sizes, etc, we did leave the pegs unpainted, so if you’re the creative type, you can feel free to make it your own! Same with the rules!
Most of our reward tiers consist of buying a different number of board games at varying discounts based on how many you want and how far into the campaign you back it. (All the games will come individually boxed no matter how many you buy, and don't forget that you'll need TWO boards in order to play a couple of the alternate versions!)
WHAT'S IN THE BOX?
With each “Regular” reward tier, you’ll receive the entire GoatDangle! party game set (game board, 5 scoresheets, 3 pegs, 2 flippy cups, 1 custom dice, 1 pong ball and 1 rulebook, all in the game box.)
The GoatDangle! game board is made out of a durable polypropylene plastic material, so it should essentially last forever. The unpainted pegs are made from birch wood. The flippy cup, pong ball and dice are all the same material you would expect when buying those regular products in a store.
The board is about 6” wide at the front, sloping up to the top, where it is tapered out to about 9” wide.
The entire game and box weighs just under 2 pounds.
Since we were going to manufacture this game regardless of this Kickstarter project, we already pulled the trigger on sourcing raw materials and beginning to manufacture. In fact, the first 5000 games will be in-hand and ready to ship before this campaign even closes out....which means if you order one of the first 5000 games through Kickstarter, you'll receive it before Christmas (barring any crazy unforeseen circumstances of course.)
It takes a tribe to accomplish something like this. A HUGE Thank-You to everyone who has helped us get to this point!
Brett at Four Process Limited who helped with my very first conversations about molding and getting the game professionally made.
Aaron & Lori at Slingshot Promotions who helped square away everything with the manufacturers.
Eby, Jake, Sally, & Ryan....the film crew from Webster University who shot the video, edited it and did all the animation and graphics for it (everything except the script).
All the "actors" in the video...Dan, Greg, Alex, Eva, Steve, Rick, Casey & Sally. Without you giving up your Saturday, we wouldn't have that badass, goofy video.
Cas & Josh, for being believers in me and the game, and coming on board to help make GoatDangle Games, LLC a reality.
Rick...well, you know why you're on this list. You've been a great friend through all of this and without someone to annoy with a million calls and texts about GoatDangle, this never would have evolved into what it is. Biggest thanks to your friendship.
And, finally, YOU!
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about GoatDangle! The Party Game! We've spent years making this game as perfectly as we possibly could, so we're excited to have you join the GoatDangle! Movement!
WILL YOU DARE TO DANGLE WITH US??

Risks and challenges
We have worked extremely hard to ready this product for Kickstarter and full-scale manufacturing and fulfillment, but here are what we see as the risks and our plan to assess them:
This is GoatDangle Games’ first Kickstarter project. However, our team brings heft so we can punch above our weight class. We have already gone through several prototypes from our factory and have modified tooling where we needed to fine tune mass production. We have an outstanding promotions company and factory that both have 25+ years of related experience, and we've already placed raw material orders well in advance of our Kickstarter campaign to ensure delivery of at least 5000 games by Christmas 2019. We want our customers to be happy with their purchase and proud to support our company, and we promise to be fully transparent about when your order will be shipped from the factory and in your hands.
If all goes well during our funding campaign, we'll finish up with a giant heap of pre-orders for GoatDangle! The Party Game. Of course, we're trying our hardest to predict our future demand and to plan accordingly by ordering raw materials before we even launch Kickstarter, but it's far from an exact science; there's no way to know for sure how many units we will sell. While we are prepared to scale, production may take an additional 30-60 days if we go over the 5000 we’re initially putting an order in for, seeing as how we'll be in the middle of the busiest time of year for this type of product.
Supply Chain Risk
We are using an experienced supply chain with an experienced factory and fulfillment partner. However, there is a risk that a container shipment could be delayed a week or two in customs, a batch of new parts doesn't pass QA testing, or our fulfillment schedule—even if padded—can start to slip.
Acts of God
We're based in the heart of the Midwest in St. Louis, MO. That means we could have a massive snow storm and no FedEx trucks could get in or out, which would make it slightly difficult to ship games.
Whatever happens, we'll get through it together. We promise.
Any refund request received within 14 days of this Kickstarter campaign ending will be refunded in full. This Kickstarter is being funded in USD, so ‘in full’ refers to a full refund of the USD value received.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
