See below to understand how the GO² Device will increase your athletic performance...
As I have gotten older, it is more and more difficult to athletically perform like I used to. As a doctor, I am very familiar PEEP (positive end expiratory pressure) and how it has been used in hospitals for 60 years with science well known to increase oxygen in a patient's blood. While exercising and being out of breath, it dawned on me to consider if it was possible to transport the physiology of PEEP to athletes... and help them get more oxygen and therefore perform better. I researched to see if anyone had already pursued the same idea, it turned out I was the first!
2.5 years and many prototypes later, we introduce the GO² device to you!
The first thing that has to come to anyone is...an eye roll for another device that is going to make someone perform better. Our eyes were rolling too. But we did not approach this like everyone in the past. We recruited two PhD exercise physiologists (Dr. Stephen Crouse tenured professor in exercise physiology at Texas A&M and Dr. Brad Lambert Houston of Methodist Hospital Sports and Performance Laboratory) and told them to prove if the device worked or not.
The independent lab proved that the device worked.
We've scientifically proven our device increases VO2 Max by 4.1% and Endurance (TTE) by 6.0%. To quantify that, the predicted improvement in endurance and power should take 10 minutes off a 4-hour marathon. They even put their names and reputations on the device when they presented the result in the American College of Sports Medicine annual meeting.
We've seen early success among elite athletes using our device and seeing the benefits in training and competition:
"I used it on my final three miles of the run (in half-ironman race), and my heart rate went down and pace got faster. It was pretty amazing!" - Laurel Wassner, Professional Triathlete
"On my ascent to Base Camp 2 of Mount Everest, I used the device on alternating sections. I felt less out of breath and was able to catch my breath much quicker when I used the GO². I subjectively felt better and the objective measures -- increase in oxygen saturation from 90% to 98% within 20 seconds of using device-- supported this feeling as my average heart and max heart rate were lower during the periods where I used the GO².
As I said it’s not often that these new devices pan out but I was astonished by the initial results and am truly excited about the potential of this device. " - Dr. Kory Gill, Head Physician Texas A&M University Football
"I am constantly looking for ways to naturally improve performance and overall enjoyment when riding my bike. The GO² Device is not only backed by impressive data, but more importantly, I just feel better during and especially after my rides" - Bobby Julich, Third-Place Finisher of Tour de France and Olympic Silver Medalist
A device that improves oxygen while exercising, allowing you to go further and increase performance at any level. Designed and proven with science, this device will improve every workout, race, exercise, ride, climb, hike, and adventure to maximize your performance and be your GO² device when it matters most.

To date, 8 College Football programs will be wearing GO² Devices beginning with first games next month. We're excited to see how quickly awareness builds as people see FBS Top 25 Progam players wearing GO² Devices on TV. We also have a small number of NFL players that will be using our devices too. Our Contact Sports version comes with a $5,000 Dental Warranty for all devices. An Ivy League school purchased devices for Football, Cross-Country, and Rowing teams.
We encourage you to post pics of you using your GO² Device and tag us on Instagram: go2devices.

Risks and challenges
For contact sports like Football, it's common to wear a mouthguard so there is no change in behavior. However, for endurance athletes, putting something in your mouth while you exercise is a change in behavior. While our science is proven, there is a risk to slower adoption due to this different piece of equipment being in a sensitive area: the mouth.
It takes time for an athlete to get used to the device initially -- we describe it with SSS (suffer, stabilize, succeed). Also, in some instances, condensation builds up on inside valve (e.g., much like breathing on a mirror) and may drip out of the device. Users can easily take device out and shake it once and replace when this occurs. Our initial data shows 5+ uses before the athlete is comfortable with the device. After 10+ uses, the athletes don't want to exercise without it.
There are 40 million mouthguards sold in the US each year. 4 million people run a sanctioned road race in the US each year.
