About this project
The Mathematician's Dice are dice designed for mathematicians! Rather than the relatively boring numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, these dice are jampacked with the six most important numbers in mathematics! They have: the imaginary number i; the additive identity 0, the multiplicative identity 1, the golden ratio φ (1.618...); Euler's number e (2.718...); and the circular constant π (3.141...).
I had a few test dice manufactured, and they look great. They are real, standardsized acrylic dice with symbols engraved in black. And yes, they are balanced.
These dice are the perfect toy for the physicist or engineer, mathematician or scientist, gamer or nerd. If you don't fit that bill, maybe you know someone who does, who might like these dice.
For every $5 you pledge, you'll get one Mathematician's Die. You can pledge as much as you want, in $5 increments, and get as many dice as you want.
If this Kickstarter project gets enough backers, we can have a run of these dice mass produced, and we'll all get dice for cheap! $2200 will cover manufacturing, packaging, and shipping costs. International shipping costs about the same as domestic shipping (dice aren't very heavy), so I'm not going to charge extra for international orders.
