Battle for control of Hypernet in the fast-paced, dystopian world of Glitch Hunter - the ONLY digital CYBERPUNK Collectible Card Game.
About this project
If you are a fan of CYBERPUNK or fast paced digital CCG's, then this is the game for you!
Glitch Hunter is the lean, brutal, digital collectible card game for PC & Mac, set in a vast retro-futurist realm where mega-corporations, renegade hackers and street gangs compete for dominance of Hypernet. From the dynamic team of developers, who were involved in the making of Star Wars: The Old Republic, Alan Wake, Gatling Gears and the award winning indie game Last Inua.
- “Just WOW! This looks great! I'm a huge Shadowrun nerd so this definitely tickles my fancy!” - Rob Morrow - Destructoid
- “I really like the thought of a cyberpunk/Sci-Fi/fantasy/tech-noir collectible card game hybrid.” - Robin “V-Act” Ek - The Gaming Ground
UPDATES
#9 - We are Staff Pick!
A short learning curve and a wide selection of strategies to master ensure you can step in easily but will keep you riveted to your seat once you get hooked.
THE GAME
- Lean, mean real-time 1on1 multiplayer with 3 game modes (Casual, Ranked and Jacked).
- Accessible, evolving game structure – Glitch Hunter is a free-to-play game with a number of future game expansions already planned. Backers will receive exclusive items upon launch that will increase in value over time.
- Doomsday switch - usable in all game modes. Once enabled, both players receive increased resources, but it is game-over for them both if the timer runs out.
THE CARDS
- 3 distinctive HERO-ID’s and 165 unique cards ensure players have a diverse playing experience.
- Draw 2 cards each turn and use 2 Node resources to play them. Use balanced crafting and deck-building features to fine-tune your 30-card decks for the best strategy.
-
Create killer combos of ally, crony, support and script cards.
DOOMSDAY SWITCH - this highly volatile game accelerator is usable in all game modes. Once enabled, both players receive increased resources and the turn duration is shortened. Beware though, it will be game over for both players if the timer runs out.
You can read more about the Glitch Hunter GLOSSARY and CORE GAME RULES in our community Forum.
Our goal for the initial launch is to release 165 cards, 45 of which are bound to HERO-ID’s. The cornerstone of each 30 card deck (max 2 copies of a card) is a choice between three HERO-ID’s and cards are played using 2 resources called Nodes. Glitch Hunter uses a basic 2 card draw to keep the gameplay fast-paced and lower the impact of drawing bad cards.
HERO-ID'S are the leaders of the factions. Each HERO-ID will have its own set of specific cards (45 HERO-ID specific cards in total).
HERO-ID ABILITIES- Each HERO-ID has its own unique ability which reinforces it’ theme and play style. These permanent abilities can be used once each round.
ALLY CARDS - These cards represent the closest allies of the HERO ID’s, and passively buff or trigger automatically. Allies lose a stamina point every time they are triggered and cards are discarded when exhausted.
CRONY CARDS - Crony cards have a wide variety of passive, active and triggered effects as well as being allowed one attack per turn. Once played, Cronies remain in the conflict zone until they are destroyed.
SUPPORT CARDS - These represent various influences and resources that can be activated or acquired. Typically they have ongoing passive effects or activated effects. Typically one use per turn, until discarded or destroyed.
SCRIPT CARDS - Script cards represent the various skills, tricks and powers that your HERO-ID has at his disposal. Played directly onto a target or the game board, most have an instant effect and are then discarded.

CRAFTING CARDS – As Glitch Hunter is a digital CCG you have the option of disassembling any surplus cards into their raw data, which can be used as a crafting resource to create any card you want.
BOOSTER PACKS - You can buy boosters using in-game currency earned by completing daily missions or by purchasing them at the online shop. Purchasable items and packs will enhance your gaming experience however we take the balance of the game very seriously, believing that the game should be free-to-play but not pay-to-win.
The CEO of the mega-corporation Silverlining Ventures is applying all of its formidable resources to achieve absolute control of Hypernet, the network through which all of the world’s commerce, information and energy is traded. He must first root out the rebel AI leader Hyperlatch, mysterious founder of the Glitcher Crew, a ragtag group of hackers, underground inventors and outlandish warriors. Both factions must also employ or compete with The Spid3rs, the brutal mercenary gang that runs the streets of Hypernet, led by their violent Berserker leader.
The Berserker is an aggressive, fast gun-for-hire who plays by his own rules. Fearless but reckless, he is one of the few HERO-ID’s who gets directly involved in the action. Typical Berserker cronies and scripts are very direct and focus on dealing damage directly or buffing other’s attacks.
The Mega Corp CEO has a number of ways to manipulate the game economy, typically by boosting himself or hindering his opponent. This HERO-ID also has some of the most expensive cronies and scripts, requiring economic finesse to employ them successfully.
The AI is an omnipresent influence that has the power to manipulate other player’s decks and the drawing of cards. This HERO-ID has several ways to heal and buff her cronies or take control of rivals. When fighting the AI you will often feel like your own resources are being used against you.

One More Rabbit are several months into development already and are committed to delivering a robust and thrilling digital game.
At this stage of the project additional expertise is needed to help bring together the final product. Some of the Kickstarter funding will commission freelance designers for additional pixel art but the majority is to be used for employing programmers to create new functionality and for design costs related to testing the balance of the game. These professional glitch hunters will work with us to make sure that Glitch Hunter CCG is a glitch-free digital experience upon launch!
Below is an approximate overview of how current Kickstarter funding will be used.
DETERMINE START PLAYER
- The starting player is randomly determined.
INITIAL DRAW
- Player 1 draws 2 cards.
- Player 2 draws 3 cards.
- Both players may discard any or all of the drawn cards and redraw that number of cards (only once).
- After the draws are completed Player 2 gets +1/+1 nodes until the end of his first turn (this extra capacity is removed after the turn ends) and then the game begins with Player 1’s first turn.
PLAYER 1 TURN
- Increase purple and blue node capacity by 1 and refill all nodes.
- Draw 2 cards.
- Any “at the start of your turn” cards that you have in play are resolved.
These steps can be performed in any order:
- Play as many cards from your hand as you like after paying their cost.
- ALLIES - Played into the ally slot, remain in play until they are replaced, destroyed or if they run out of stamina.
- CRONIES - Played into conflict zone, but cannot attack during the turn they are summoned.
- SUPPORT - Can be used immediately and usually remain in play until they are destroyed, replaced or discarded.
- SCRIPTS - Played onto the board or target, most scripts have an instant effect and are discarded after one use.
- Use cronies to attack.
- Use HERO-ID ability (once per turn).
- Activate support cards.
- End your turn by pressing the end turn button.
- Any “at the end of your turn” cards that you have in play are resolved.
- The next player’s turn begins.
PLAYER 2 TURN
- Same as player 1 turn.
- Players keep playing like this until one wins the game.
ENDING THE GAME
- You win the game by reducing your opponents hero’s health to 0.
- You win the game if your opponent concedes.
- The game ends in a draw if both heroes are reduced to 0 health at the same time, in which case both lose and neither gain or lose skill/ranking points.
- Both players lose if the Doomsday timer runs out.
Risks and challenges
We are keeping our aims focused. Having spent the first 6 months of development examining the constraints of the project and the expertise at our disposal, we are confident that we can produce the most compact and robust game product possible at launch. And this is where Kickstarter comes in, as for each funding target we meet, the more additional design we can incorporate.
Anyone familiar with the creative process or programming in game development knows that these are fluid processes and contingent on other factors, ranging from twists of fate to human error. Any veteran game developer will advise you to expect the unexpected and we are lucky to have a great network of creative people ready to advise, support and even step in to help keep development on track should setbacks occur. Any indication of delay will be relayed to our community, as well as the measures being taken to solve the issue.

Absolutely. We are sending each $500 backer a high resolution digital file of the exclusive HERO-ID with your likeness.
-
The doomsday timer only counts down at the end of each turn. The only way to make it count down is to end your turn. A turn also has a certain time to make your move - if the time runs out the opponent will get to play.
If the opponent is idle, the turn time runs out and the opponent will get to attack and demolish the idle party.

Each player can pick one HERO-ID they want to play with and gets a HERO-ID STARTER DECK to match - 5 HERO-ID specific common cards (x2), 10 neutral common cards (x2) = 30 cards in total. Additional HERO-ID's and matching Starter Decks will be unlocked with in-game currency you earn by playing. Or if you can take a short-cut and use real money.

Unfortunately at the moment we don't plan Glitch Hunter to have Linux support. We are planning tablet and console support for higher Stretch Goals.
-
One of the very early Stretch Goals will be AI for you to play against.
-
We do plan to create expansions to the game in the form of new HERO-ID's and new cards. Obviously we are dependent on how well the game performs to realize those plans.
-
As of yet we don't have any concrete plans for tournaments but we are open to suggestions from the community.
-
With a 2 card draw the chances of drawing a useless hand are reduced, especially in the early rounds of the game where you have very limited resources. Granted, luck will still be a factor but that is something we accept as a fun and exciting part of the game. We just want to limit it's impact in this way.
-
Most cronies are played using purple nodes while the other cards allies, scripts and support cards are played using the blue nodes. Some cards require both resources to play. These cards are typically but not exclusively, very expensive cards to play.
