The organisers of the original festival when it was at the Wasing Estate have recently discovered nearly 50 hours of HD footage that was shot at the last Glade at that site back in 2008. It was thought to have been lost. And we now want to make it into a feature length documentary so that we can capture that rather ridiculous and wonderful time when the UK had the original true spirited electronic dance music festival.
Artists' Live Performances & Interviews include:
OSAKA INVASION CREW
RUSKO & CASPAR
ANS & ALLABY
AND MANY MORE....
If you were at any of those early Glades or wish you had been then the film that we have the opportunity to make will take you back there. If you were at the 2008 edition then there is high chance you will be in the footage we have. There really is that much. The build was filmed, the festival was filmed. Lots of interviews were given by many of the artists as well as the organisers and creatives. Some epic performances were recorded and shot. And then there's all the people there. Dance floors, camp sites, markets and all the excitement at the gates... The spirit of the Glade was captured beautifully. It makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
Help us make this film. We've got to sort out of the rushes, then we've got to pull it all together, edit it, add all the visual effects, sound design and mix and grade it and so much more. We want to do it to a very high standard. And to do all that we need to raise £35,000. Seems a lot. But post-production and talented experienced people who know how to do this don't come cheap.

What is the Glade Festival?
The Glade originally started out as Glastonbury Festival's Glade Stage. Due to its success in 2004 it became a festival within its own right attracting tens of thousands of people every year. What was so special about the Glade Festival was its eclectic diversity of electronica and dance genres and how it celebrated the arts and spirituality.
Having closed its doors after its last Festival in 2012 this documentary is a rare opportunity to re-live some unseen footage of Glade's history.
Risks and challenges
The footage, which was thought to have been lost forever, was found on an 8 year old drive hidden in a dusty box, it was like discovering a long lost treasure. To our surprise the drive still functioned and all the footage was intact and uncorrupted.
The footage will first require an intense restoration process in order to be made compatible with current video standards and technology. After that the edit can begin, once picture locked we plan to put it through the various phases of post-production to meet the high quality standards seen on most documentaries nowadays. That is complimentary to a full sound design and mastering. VFX to give it a bit of charm and sparkle and top it all off Colour Grade to Finish.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
