Frequently Asked Questions
Our shorts, as well as our t-shirts, are manufactured right here in the US. That makes us happy!Last updated:
Our shorts will be available in sizes 4-12 and a size chart has been provided above. If you are still not sure which size to get, the best thing to do is measure a pair of shorts you already have that fits well and compare that to our size chart.Last updated:
Why are the shorts in the video and pictures a different color than any of the color options available as rewards?
The sample shorts in our video and photos were made from samples of our fabric that had not yet been dyed into our custom colors. We will be dyeing all of our fabric at the same time, once our Kickstarter campaign hits our funding goal. For our full production run, our shorts will only be available in the colors shown above in the graphic renderings of our shorts. Sorry, that means you won’t be able to get the Casual Cargo Shorts in that exact gray (although it will be close) or our Perfect Play Shorts in white.Last updated:
The “All Ages Shirt” will be available in the following sizes. More detailed size charts will be provided to you after the campaign ends and it’s time to select your size.
Onesies: 12 month, 18 month
Toddler t-shirts: 2T, 3T, 4T
Adult t-shirts, unisex fit: S, M, L, XL
Adult t-shirts, women’s fit: S, M, L, XL
We will be printing our designs on high quality, super soft, 100% cotton fine jersey knit garments. We are using Rabbit Skins brand for the onesies and toddler t-shirts, and a combination of Bella+Canvas and L.A.T t-shirts (depending on the color) for the adult sizes. They will not be the exact same color as our Girls Will Be shirts, but they will be close...and look awesome!Last updated:
If I select a reward that includes a Girls Will Be t-shirt, how do I know what designs are available and which size to order?
You can view all of our designs at http://www.girlswillbehq.com/shop/. Some designs are running low on inventory right now, but most designs and sizes should be back in stock in time for June delivery. Our shirts are available in sizes 4-12 and you can find the size chart here - http://www.girlswillbehq.com/size-chart/.Last updated:
When do I provide my size, choice of design for my poster/t-shirt (if applicable), and shipping information?
If we hit our funding goal, we’ll send out a survey to our backers to collect all of this information as soon as the Kickstarter campaign ends (on March 30th). If your shipping address changes between the time of the survey and the delivery date, don’t worry, you will be able to update your address via Kickstarter.Last updated:
You’ll have one week to provide us with your choices after the campaign ends (on March 30th) and we send the survey. We realize that is a quick turnaround, but we need to move straight into production in order to get the shorts to you in time for summer. Unfortunately, if you do not return your survey within a week, we cannot guarantee that your desired size will be available.Last updated:
Yes! The process is a little cumbersome, but it’s worth the extra effort to get you what you want! You can "add-on" as many of these items as you want by increasing your original pledge amount by the corresponding amount for that item ($15 for each additional box of goodies, $20 for each poster, and $24 for each Girls Will Be t-shirt or All Ages shirt; international backers must add an additional $5 per item, on top of those amounts, to cover shipping).
At the time you make the pledge, you do not need to tell us the specific details of which item(s) you want. Just make sure you add the right dollar amount to your pledge. At the end of the campaign, we will send you a survey that asks for all the details (which item, which design, which size - if applicable), so we know exactly what to ship to you.Last updated:
Unfortunately, no, you can not “add-on” another pair of shorts to your order. We need to limit the number of shorts ordered in each color, based on the amount of fabric we have pre-ordered, and allowing “add-on” shorts would make that very difficult to track and potentially risk “overselling” our shorts.
You can select one of the "3 Pack" reward levels if you want to get all three colors of one of our styles. Or you can create a second Kickstarter account and make a second, separate pledge for another pair of shorts.Last updated:
We would be happy to try and exchange the item for you, depending on availability. You will need to email us right away with the size you would like instead. After we fulfill all of our orders from Kickstarter, we will get back to you and let you know if we have that size still available. If we do, you will need to pay to return the unworn item to us as well as pre-pay the applicable shipping fee.
If an exchange is not possible, we can offer online store credit. Given the nature of the Kickstarter model, we unfortunately cannot accept returns (unless, of course, the item is defective).Last updated:
We do ship internationally for backers outside of the US for most (but not all) rewards. Those rewards each have a separate charge listed for shipping outside the US, based on the size and weight of the reward. Sorry about the higher prices for our international backers. We tried to keep it as low as possible, but it's needed to cover the higher overseas shipping costs.
Shipping charges do not include international taxes or duties. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient. Information regarding any applicable taxes or duties can be found by contacting your local customs office.Last updated:
