Enchanters is a fantasy card drafting game. Players take turns to go on quests to take cards from the Journey track. Each one collects Items on one stack and Enchantments on the other to craft a magical artifact. Part of every card taken stays with them until the end of the game. When monsters approach, they journey onward to defeat in a deterministic combat encounter (that takes just few seconds) and score points. From time to time players rest to gain crystals or heal wounds.
Richard 'Rahdo' Ham really enjoyed our game. Hear what he has to say about it:
- 6 Village cards (63x88mm)
- 6 Kingdom decks (150 cards total) (63x88mm)
- 33 wound tiles
- 40 crystal tiles
Four eco leather Player Mats 28x12cm (11 inch x 4,7 inch), one for each player. There is no additional cost for shipping.
One eco leather Game Mat 70x40cm (27,5 inch x 15,5 inch). This item is shipped separately. See Shipping Section for more details.
*Please note that these are NOT "ADD-ONS" - we have included them into new reward tiers to reduce confusion! Please see the "Rewards" area for further information about how to get them!**
There is one flat price for worldwide shipping: 9 USD (except for Poland: 4 USD)
The Game Mats are shipped separetly at a cost of 5,5 USD.
You will be asked to pay for shipping after Kickstarter ends, from the Pledge Manager level.
We are planning to start shipping games in the beginning of October. As we plan to attend the Spiel’17 convention in Essen, the game will be available to purchase there. There is a possibility that some backers will receive their games in December. We do not deliver your game; the shipping company does. Therefore, delivery times will vary according to your local postal service.
We expect to fulfill all rewards from within the EU, and as a result EU backers do not have to worry about customs or VAT
Shipments to backers outside of the EU will have the most updated EUR-equivalent value for each pledge level declared as the value of the package. For example, 25 USD is currently 21 EUR. That's roughly an equivalent of 31,5 CAD / 31,5 AUD / 24 CHF / 2 754 JPY. Note that we can not be responsible for any customs fees.
Tracking is not offered through this campaign. If tracking is important to you, please contact us via the KS messaging system before the campaign is over.
Please note that we can not take any responsibility for any lost or damaged copies to Hungary, Russia, Asia, South America, Africa or Antarctica.
We are confident the game we present to you is really good. Nevertheless, for your convenience we offer a satisfaction guarantee: a 100% return policy within 6 months counting from date of successful delivery, if you are not satisfied with the product. No questions asked. We will refund your full pledge amount, but we’ll ask you to cover the cost of sending the game back to us.
Enchanters is a fantasy card drafting game. As an Enchanter you create an artifact and upgrade it each turn. Every card you take retains some of its power. As you grow stronger, you can take on more powerful monsters and, if you plan well, even defeat a dragon.
To setup a game just:
1. Give each player 5 crystals.
2. Shuffle the Kingdom decks (one per player) together.
3. Place 6 cards (Items and Enchantments only) on the Journey Track.
4. Choose a Village Card.
5. Pick the first player.
6. You're ready to play.
Players take turns to embark on quests: you collect cards from the Journey Track by paying with crystals. Cards go into two stacks: the Item Stack (here you put cards like “Long Sword”), and the Enchantment Stack (where you play titles, like “of Fire”). Combined, they create a “Long Sword of Fire”. The cards grant both temporary bonuses (upper icons and skills) and/or permanent ones (bottom icons).
Players may also attack approaching monsters and defeat them in a simple combat encounter to score points. In combat, you compare your Defense against the monster's Strength to determine whether you receive damage. Then, you need to accumulate as much Attack as the monster's Health to defeat it. You keep defeated cards as trophies.
From time to time, you rest in the village to gain crystals or heal wounds. If you do, discard the first card from the Journey Track.
At the end of each turn replenish the Journey Track to 6 cards.
The game ends when the last card is taken or discarded.

Here’s the rulebook:
Note: Rulebook is not final, but really close to it. We’re open to your feedback.
Want to check out the Enchanters yourself? Just download, print and play. You’ll just need some tokens to count crystals and wounds. The decks you find inside are what you need to play a full game.
While Enchanters was thoroughly tested, we always welcome your feedback. Feel free to make suggestions and ask questions in the comments section.
First of all, Enchanters will not be published internationally without your help.
We’re still a relatively small independent publishing house. In 2016, we designed and published the Enchanters in Poland (under the name Zaklinacze).
While the Polish edition was well received, we are cannot wait to share the game with the rest of the world. We know the game is good, we’ve seen hundreds of players enjoy it - hardcore players and families alike. We had some time since the first run to make the game even better. We hope that reaching the stretch goals will allow us to show the Enchanters to the world in full glory.
Other companies in Poland approached us with publishing deals, but we turned them down. We decided to stay independent, make a name for ourselves, maybe go full-time one day. You can help us make this dream come true.
Once the game is funded, you will be one of the first to get it (maybe with the exception of Essen attendees). Also, once the game goes to retail, we expect the price to go up from the $25 Kickstarter price – that depends on the stretch goals we manage to unlock.
Risks and challenges
As you see, we have very short delivery time. This begs a question, how do we do that?
1) Both graphic design of the game and illustrations on the cards are 90% ready, since the game had a first edition in Poland last year.
2) The production facility that we use (Trefl for cards, Mediagold for the rest) are located in our home cities. We worked together in the past and have booked their printing equipment ahead of time for this project.
3) Gindie publishing house, the business Jacek is the owner of, is making t-shirts and gadgets for polish webcomics. He has rich experience in shipping and proven crew working every day of the week.
4) The Polish edition of Enchanters was also crowdfunded. That campaign taught us a lot. We don’t intend to repeat our mistakes.
5) Our professional background gave us skills to do this right. All of us are working in video game development - an industry that provides even more challenges than board games.
6) Last but not least, Ludi Creations, our partner in this endeavor, is a Kickstarter veteran. We’re in contact on daily basis.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
