About this project
"Once upon a time there were three brothers... until there were two."

What is CHARLIE?
CHARLIE: an Adventure is Red Egg Theater's spring play, an original adaptation of a semi-autobiographical short story by Cj Hayes. In the vein of "The Phantom Tollbooth" or "Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland," CHARLIE is the tale of a boy whose eldest brother has died in a motorcycle accident. Charlie is sleeping in his bed when he is suddenly awoken by George, a talking kitten, who leads him on an excursion inside Charlie's own mind. Charlie must then outsmart a number of foes before confronting God - who is not at all what he expected.
Red Egg will present this semi-true tale, featuring puppetry and digital media, in Santa Cruz, CA in March of 2012. We have a story, we have a theatre, we're building the puppets... now we need YOU!
Who is Red Egg Theater?

The company was founded in 2008 by Artistic Director Gina Marie Hayes in order to strengthen ties between UCSC Theater Arts, Cabrillo College, and Bay Area theater companies.
How will my pledge count?
