Fulfillment has begun!
The games are almost at the warehouses!
The games are on their way to the warehouse, addresses locking soon, and PAX South pickup!
Bad news (delivery in January) and good news (pickup available at PAX Unplugged next week)
The proof copy is here!
Hi folks, I just wanted to post an update that the games are almost at the fulfillment centers. I'm hoping to start shipping them out within the next 10 days.
Thank you to everyone who came by at PAX South to say hello! I can't wait to get these games out. I really appreciate your patience through this process.
Hi Bad Medicine backer, and happy new year! We're finally getting to the end of this project.
The games have all been manufactured and are sailing on their way to two of my fulfillment centers. They've been sailing since Christmas, and they're due to arrive at the end of January.
The one bummer here is that late delivery (assuming no further complications) pushes delivery back to early February. The good news is that once we get the games in the warehouse, there shouldn't be any more mass delays!
Now then, since we're so close to fulfillment, here's the timeline.
Next Monday, January 14, I will lock pledges. Please make sure you have ordered all the add-ons you want, and that your address is correct! All this information is in BackerKit; click here to access it.
I'm also going to charge your BackerKit credit cards on January 14. So if you've ordered any add-ons through BackerKit, or if you're a BackerKit pre-order customer, you will get your credit card charged then. Of course, if you are a Kickstarter backer and have not ordered any add-ons, you will not be charged anything extra.
I will be at PAX South in San Antonio, TX from January 17 to January 20. If you'd like to pick up your game directly from me, please fill out this form, and then come to the Formal Ferret booth in the Tabletop area (TT1303) before Sunday at 2 pm.
If you can't make it to PAX South, sit tight! You'll get your games a few weeks after that.
Incidentally, we had a great response to the game at PAX Unplugged last month, and I'm really happy with how the new version of the game looks. I think you're all going to really enjoy it.
Thanks so much for being a part of this project. We're almost there!
It's been a hectic year at Formal Ferret HQ, and unfortunately, that means delays all down the line. My previous project, The Networks: Executives, got delayed a couple of months, and it looks like Bad Medicine is delayed as well.
The games are getting loaded on the boat in the next couple couple of weeks, but that marine shipment takes a long time. We are looking at starting fulfillment in January.
For those of you who wanted to offer this game as a holiday present, my sincerest apologies! Being a one-person operation, it's easy to get overwhelmed with work, especially when convention season hits. I appreciate all of your understanding, patience, and support.
That said, two pieces of good news.
First off, I have the final production proof in hand, and the game came out amazing! I can't wait to send it out to you.
Second, I'm flying a few copies out to PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia next week, and I'm offering backer pickup! If you'll be at the show, or if you have a friend attending it, please fill out this form so you can get your game a few weeks early.
Finally: please check your BackerKit to make sure your address and pledge information are all correct! I will close pre-orders and lock BackerKit addresses in mid-December, so now is a good time to make sure all your info is correct.
That's all the news I have for you! I'm sorry things are going so slow, but they are moving, and you will have your games soon.
Thanks again for all your help!
Hi Bad Medicine backer! Progress on this project hasn't been as fast as I'd like, but we're making steady advances. Today, the proof copy came in; we will start production in a couple of weeks. Thanks for your patience!
Here are the boxes for the base game and Second Opinion expansion. We're going to make some small tweaks to the Second Opinion box sides, but I love how Emily Hancock's art came out!
Let's open up the base game box!
I'm really happy with the transition from cardboard tokens to cards. The cards look really good.
Of course, if you ordered the tokens separately, you'll be getting this:
Now let's peek inside the Second Opinion box!
Finally, one more thing! I've split all the "dirty" cards into a separate "Unsafe" expansion. All backers receiving at least the expansion will be getting this pack of cards as well!
Not pictured are the plastic discs that will come in the base game (as well as the replacement base game cards). They're not a part of this proof; I'll get proofs for those in a few weeks.
That's about that! I'll send out my next message once we're close to wrapping up production and starting the shipping of the games from the factory to the warehouse.
Thanks again for your patience, and here's to a great time making awful pharmaceutical drugs!
