GHOST ISLAND #2
What is Ghost Island?
Ghost Island is a 5 issue black & white supernatural horror comic series.
On a remote island a wealthy entrepreneur has secretly created a theme park full of imprisoned ghosts he has collected over time.
Before opening the attraction to the public he enlists the help of a small group of people to assist him. One of them being Josh Evans a troubled psychic with a dark past.
Whilst he battles his own personal demons Josh is scheduled the task of entering the spirit world & exploring some of the evil minds of the ghosts that lie within the island, but at what cost.
Issue 1 (44 pages) was successfully funded via Kickstarter last year. You can read the first 10 pages here. And now we're back for issue 2 (38 pages) with a little help from you.
Issue 2- Crossing Over (38 pages) This issue picks up straight after where issue 1 left off, Mason begins the search for his son on the island. Meanwhile psychic Josh reflects on his haunted past shortly before he is tasked with entering the evil mind of one of the ghosts that inhabit the island.
Risks and challenges
The challenge we face is raising the funds. We went in low funding wise for the first issue this is because Writer/creator Joseph Oliveira invested a lot in to the first issue to get the book off the ground and show the potential we can create together. Those funds aren't there anymore so we're asking for funds to pay for artist fees & the printing & shipping costs.
The risk potential for this project is fairly low as there are only two members to the team we are both fully committed to not only this project but the entire 5 issue series.
Our artist Anabela Turlione is half way in to completing the book leaving just over 20 pages remaining. We post daily on our social media pages to show you the progress we are making on this project every single day.
Quality is also really important to us so the utmost attention to detail will be taken with the whole of the book to make sure you get the best possible experience. That is why we have over estimated our deadline for September 2017 which gives us more than enough time to have it ready for you. We may even surprise you by delivering it earlier!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
