About this project
Ghost Hunter 'Vampires' is a card game for 2 – 6 players that lasts for 10 - 30 minutes. The rules can be seen in this video tutorial. It is a standalone game but it is also the sequel to 'Ghost Hunter'. Each card features a gorgeously rendered vampire that players must try to capture using various cards and card combinations. The first player to run out of cards ends the game. The player with the highest scoring pile of captured vampires is the winner. Careful thought any vampires left uncaptured become minus points for the players holding them.
- The rules are simple but the strategies are complex.
- Skill and luck both play key roles.
- It pays to get rid of your cards and end the game.
- However victory is never assured until the scores are counted.
- Plays like Paskahousu, but with card capturing and a scoring system.
- Classic playing card layout with Victorian animae characters and folklore spooks
- All cards are compatible with the original Ghost Hunter game. Shuffle the two together for more varied and complex game
STRETCH GOAL £1500 STRETCH GOAL
£1000 is needed to make Ghost Hunter: Vampires. If we reach £1500 then we will be able to use the extra cash to commission art work for the next game Ghost Hunter: Witches! A member’s only group will be set up for all backers to help me design the cards and rules for the Witches deck. Essentially if we hit £1500 you will all have the opportunity to decide the fate of the Ghost Hunter series and give your creative input on the next chapter in the story.
STRETCH GOAL £1750 STRETCH GOAL
If we hit £1750 then we will be able to print the first Witch card and include it in your pledge.
STRETCH GOAL £2000 STRETCH GOAL
If we hit £2000 then we will be able to print the first three Witch cards and include them in your pledge.
Risks and challenges
Every endeavour has risks associated to it, if it didn’t then it wouldn’t be worth doing, but rest assured that I have done the following to mitigate the risks of bringing you Ghost Hunter: Vampires.
The game is already designed and playtested extensively. Playtesting is key to knowing whether it works, and it does!
The art work is completed and paid for.
The sums have been done, the quotes from manufacturers and distributors are in, So there is contingency built into the budget.
I will be following the same model that I used to deliver the successful original 'Ghost Hunter' earlier this year. So the contacts are in place and the timelines are familiar.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
