Looking at I'm watch now - Is it better than the pebble? - Will just have to wait and see I guess. Will have to get one of each then will know for sure.
Looks like the Imwatch is more for Android than Apple iPhones. Just from what I can tell. Seems the Pebble is more for both. Can't wait to test the Pebble --- nudge nudge
the I'm watch has a lot of things the Pebble doesnt. A colour, touch screen. Headphone socket, running android. It is however a very different beast. I dont want to worry about my watch getting wet in the rain. I want to be able to look at my watch and see the time without having to press a button first. I also dont want to have to charge it every day. Those were the biggest complaints I believe with the impulse watch, which is why pebble was designed this way.
I would still love to see support for Windows devices added to the list.
@Jared We're still waiting to see if that is going to be possible with Win Phone 8 devices. It's currently a limitation on Win Phone 7 devices that is preventing its use with Pebble.

@Stephen we're just rolling out this system over today. Testing for bugs etc. You will receive an email invite from email address firstname.lastname@example.org with your invite code.
Like Andrew commented above, is there going to be an update with the shipping date yet? I thought you guys wanted to get better with transparency and communication?

Saw a recent news blurb about the Pebble Watch stating that a fifth color was available (gray). This was because of the popularity of the color. Is this true? Why have we not seen this in an official update?
Last update I've gotten was August 14, is another one due?
If you head over to https://account.getpebble.com you can choose your color as well as update your shipping address now, the emails seem to be getting around right now.
Grey is an option so yes there are now 5 colors.
Really hoping these updates on KS become more frequent guys, it's been over 3 WEEKS!
What's the deal with getting these out? I bought one as a gift for my girlfriends birthday in September. I'd like to know when to expect it.
There is no estimated date as of yet Michael, although it will not be in September.

@DjRags Pebble have said they are not shipping yet.
Use USPS for shipping to Brazil. Please, don't use FedEx or UPS. USPS is the best choice! The customs costs if shipping via FedEx or UPS can triple the price!
So...about those updates that were to be spaced no more than three weeks apart...
Yep. with 10 million in funding, lets see some more regular updates on progress.. don't want vaporware!
Sad thing is that they have utter disregard of their backers. I sent an email through the Kickstarter messages and have received no answer.
@wim It is fine that it takes a while. It is understandable that they are busy. It is also understandable if things don't go as smooth as planned, we are humans, they are smart guys building awesome things, and even they will have a tough time sorting things out, we get it.
But it should be a priority for them to provide prompt updates about what's going on. If they get contacted directly about things, they should make it a priority to answer.
There are 69 THOUSAND backers...I wouldn't reply to all of you little complainers either
@Mau I don't know what your communication was to Pebble so I can't really say why they didn't respond. Personally I believe their number one priority is build, not communication. I have no idea how many messages they get, but with this many backers their inbox must be like the worst spambot explosion ever.
If they responded to every message they probably wouldn't get any work done finishing our watches.
@Caffeine Junkie: Nope. I don't agree. they are both a high priority. I didn't say answering should be a #1 priority. You owe it to your customers. Period. If you don't have bandwidth to answer to messages, get an intern. If they were more transparent and proactive with their updates, they probably wouldn't have many people bugging them with the same question: "are we there yet? are we there yet?".
If you get to a restaurant, you get a table and no one shows up for the next 10-15 minutes, you'll be pissed, even if you see they are busy. However, if you get to the same restaurant, you get seated, and your server (or whoever else from the staff) stops by within 3 minutes and apologizes for being so darn busy and get you going with your drinks, you are not going to worry about waiting... they showed appreciation. Then you can wait 10 or 15 minutes without a problem.
That's all. It's called customer service.
This isn't the same scenario at all... Pebble aren't running a restaurant, and even if they were, it's a restaurant with almost 70,000 people in it - more if every watch represents a different person.
What you want are more regular updates in this channel, and I completely agree with you, because one update a month doesn't seem like a lot from a company that got $10mil for something they haven't produced yet - especially since it's around the time they originally said it'd be ready. I hope they put more effort into providing updates AT LEAST every 3 weeks, if not every 2 weeks.
But you are "darn" arrogant if you expect a personal response whenever you feel like you need to be reassured, and you are a "darn" fool if you think you can just call them up and get an immediate answer because you think preordering tech is like getting a free refill on your Dr Pepper.

I'd feel more like I was getting my moneys worth if there were regular updates even if no shipping date was discussed. Every 2-3 weeks is pretty long. Just post a few screen shots of the unit running different code. Etc.
Response to above comments: I don't see what the problem is guys, they are working on the product and should be focusing 100% on that which they obviously are. Why do you need them to hold your hand? Any other product you buy you don't even get monthly updates. Spend your time on something more worth while than hassling the guys.

Nah, they'd rather send emails with paragraph after paragraph about injection molding, SDK, API, PCB's and on and on and on never bothering to mention even an estimated ship date. Even those of us that sometimes have an interest in such things really just want to know when they will ship!
Malachy, buddy, we are stock holders and they have failed to meet the original commitment. For all we know we could have been duped.
As a stockholder I demand transparency. I demand to know why they have not shipped diddly squat.
I am loosing faith. Obviously these guys are Engineers and Engineers don't do schedules, I know that, but at least one of them is a business type or they wouldn't have raised over $10M.
So business dude, get your head out of your ass and explain, otherwise you may not be able to fix the avalanche of negative coverage, which is easy enough to bring about. Fess up, just like Apple did with the map thing, nothing is not a good thing, you need not learn that the hard way.

Patient support is required here guys. The $10m represents orders so obviously the quantity ordered was MUCH larger than expected. Perhaps the release of iPhone 5 and iO6 has had an impact - I certainly want my watch to work with my new iPhone5.
Skip songs and check my run progress during my morning runs without having to take my phone out of my pocket and drop it on the ground shattering the screen like I did a few weeks ago.

Franky this is completely unacceptable. It is time to start offering refunds, or start updating your backers with weekly updates, actually at this point, daily updates as you have 10m of venture capital...
They got the money. They said they could do it. Time they got off the pot or send the money back!!!!

I agree. This is BS. I already asked for a refund, in August, and was told that you are not set up to refund money. Well, you also are not set up to sell watches either. This is just flat out thievery on your part as you guys travel and party on borrowed funds. No more excuses. Start refunding the money or get the watch out. It's December 2012. You can get the watches out and offer firmware updates for improvements. You can bet that your bs will sour me and others from ever going through kick starter again.
