I have to agree with Andy! Awesome product that I'm really excited about but $60 shipping is so steep especially if customs tax it on top which is highly likely! Perhaps you will consider sending the item as a "birthday gift" as customs sometimes will let these pass. Either way, looking forward to the convenience and tracking possibilities of my workouts! Best, Mig

My partner and I are really looking forward to incorporating these into our work environments. We are actually hoping to start some friendly competition in the office to see who can move the most weight over a given time frame.

@Andy: You're right that international shipping is expensive. We wish that wasn't the case because it sucks for our backers and adds complexity on our end.

As of now, the plan is to ship all international rewards via USPS Priority International. It's less expensive than UPS and Fedex, comes with insurance, is trackable, and should be in your hands within a week of when we ship. Should anything change then we'll certainly pass any savings to our backers. This looks like the best option for us right now though.

      Appreciate the support!

Great product, but I find shipping a bit pricy so what is the deal with the shipping to Sweden for 60 dollars! It's not like I get any product discount in proportion my risk if I really need to pay $ 60 extra just for shipping...
Somehow it feels like international backers always area getting the short straw with extra expensive shipping, import taxes and are additionally also the last to receive their reward.

      Best regards Andy

Chris Shuptrine great article on the Huffington post! You pose a valid point. I am currently int the middle of my own project but have seen other companies post huge goals with over 30 days to fund. In reality, its obvious that they're trying to just gain exposure and shunt people to order from their website.

A solution is that the Kickstarter community (people like you and I) need to be proactive in alerting Kickstarter about those kinds of projects. With so many pouring through it's tough to keep up with every single one, let alone keep up with top projects to decide which gets staff pick etc.

Articles like yours illuminate vital next steps that creators like you and I must do as well as what Kickstarter must move on to engage its members.

Thank you for writing this and best of luck with your campaign! Its a great idea, and Ill definitely be backing you.

Perfect, thanks guys. Thats all i needed to know. I know, its a shame but its all i got! Great product though, can't wait to receive it!

    9. LiftUp Créateur le March 30, 2016

@Sarah: yes, we're planning to offer the adapters as an add-on in the future. You'll get the best deal by pre-ordering the complete set here, but you'll have the option to get them separately. Thanks!

Hi guys, I'm just wondering whether you will be selling the Smart Trackers for the LiftUp separately at a later date? Love the product but as I am in the UK i have had to change my pledge down a level to pay for postage!?

    11. LiftUp Créateur le March 29, 2016

@adam and @frank Thanks! We do think that LiftUp can motivate people to strength train more (as the video mentions, only 20% of people do enough of it!). Part of this is because it makes strength training more convenient, since you can do it at home/while traveling/etc. But, also, similar to how Fitbit motivates people to walk more, LiftUp's automatic workout tracking makes the experience more interactive and engaging.

    12. Frank Ichel le March 29, 2016

Incredible that no one else has built this product yet. It's a no brainer combination of two great value propositions: convenient gym replacement for lifting, plus auto smart tracking and using gamification as motivation.

The idea of getting my LiftUp has already motivated me to do push-ups and pull-ups now and start running too, and track my progress. But the LiftUp will allow me to do so many more great exercises with the resistance bands.

Congrats and good luck to the founders! Everyone please help spread the word! When you see this product in the video, you should immediately see how this is different from anything before and it is the beginning of the future of exercise.

    13. Adam Avante le March 28, 2016

Oh, and I can't believe you guys haven't already blown past your funding goal. I've never seen anything like this and it seems like something that almost everyone could and should use. Good luck!

    14. Adam Avante le March 28, 2016

Very cool product. I do a lot of cycling and yoga, but not nearly as much strength training as I should. This saves me the trouble of having to go to a gym. Smart and simple. What a great idea!
