Inspired by my favorite cookbooks, The Video Marketers Cookbook is a compilation of tutorials, systems and tactics to help the small business owner take my “recipes” to create awesome videos. Cooking and creating video is actually quite similar. Once you have a good base of tools and knowledge you can create your own recipes for your own needs.
This unconventional cookbook will be about 172 pages of full color printed pages with pictures and screenshots to illustrate the “recipes” of video marketing. The formats will include hardcover, paperback, digital, and audio book.
Video creation is a big world and this is the guide I wish I had when I started four years ago. It teaches you the basics of why video is one of your best marketing tools at your disposal. Many of the commonly asked questions I get about video are answered in this book and the questions that people should be asking are also answered as well.

This book was created to help the entrepreneur who yearned to create videos that would bring awareness to their brand. So many creators are hidden because they don’t yet have the skills or opportunity to market themselves in 2016 and beyond.
With video being the leading asset for marketing your business, I get a number of questions on a weekly basis asking about how to do this or that with video.
I wanted those that asked me the same or similar questions about video to have a reference guide that was not only instructional, but fun to learn from. Learning video doesn’t have to be intimidating. My goal is to inspire others to use video, not only as a lead generator, but a self liberator.
In creating video, I found myself more free and confident and I hope others will too.
The book focuses on 4 major “ingredients” to create awesome videos that work FOR you.
In my findings, this is what makes video effective and drives the results you want.

Even if you’ve been making videos for a while and haven’t been seeing the results you want, The Video Marketers Cookbook breaks down the main concepts and theories that drive my video creator mind and packages it neatly to inspire your creative juices.
In most cases, it’s a simple tweak in workflow or positioning that can greatly improve your stats. Other times we the creators simply need to improve our delivery, which a big part of Chapter 1: Entertainment.
In Chapter 3: Elimination the books discusses workflow and training. I love creating videos, but no one likes being glued to their computers 24/7. Create a system or off-hand your work to an assistant.

So why start a Kickstarter?
They weren't the books I set out to create.
Funding a book that will actually be used because it’s fun to learn from, beautiful to look at and pass to on to other content creators who need help is my ultimate goal. I feel that creators should be able to feel confident and proud of what they create with video. The most essential bits of information on how I create videos for marketing should be consumed in an elegant, yet simple design that you can always have on you.
All or most of the funding will go to the priority of making this book look beautiful and functional. I want creators to be able to find a “recipe” easily, be excited learning one recipe to another and take immediate action in their own business.
Once we hit our funding goals, and the campaign has ended I’ll head right into the production of these things:
- Interior design
- layout and formatting
- Hardcover format Paperback format
- Color Printing
- Shipping Costs
As the campaign is going on, I’ll be researching and showing who I will be hiring for each of these processes.

Risks and challenges
The first challenge I foresee is organization and make sure everything is rewarded to backers on time.
