We stand for bikes.
After successfully developing a multi bicycle bike stand for city municipalities, Dutch cyclist Maurice Paulssen is back.
This time with an innovative bike stand for personal use. The idea for BikeClip came to me after a bike trip with friends. We concluded that we needed a stand to easily park our bikes in while cleaning the bike, pumping tires, doing small repairs and lube chains.
A stand as strong and safe as the ones I created in the past for city municipalities, but then for personal use and affordable. A great idea was born. Now we only need the funding to start production.
Our goal: € 20,000 for the first flight. Fellow cyclists, make a stand and back us now!”
One great stand for 7 good reasons.
1. Holds any bike on its front or rear fork.
2. Protects your bike’s derailleurs or disc brakes.
3. Keeps your bike neatly in an upright position.
4. Prevents your bike from falling into other vehicles.
5. Can be used for all wheel sizes.
6. Avoids a tangled mess of bikes in your garage.
7. Build durable in sturdy and solid quality.
Easy to assemble
In 4 quick steps. So plug, play & ride your bike with pride and take good care of it. Then we’ll take care of you and your bike with many more inventions to come!
Lightweight yet strong and sturdy
BikeClip will be produced with fibre reinforced plastics and lightweight aluminium to keep the stand portable. The BikeClip only weighs 3.5 KG so you can take it wherever you want, using the special BikeClip travel bag. Filled with water or sand the BikeClip keeps your bike steady, providing maximum stability weighing up to 13.5 KG.
One size fits all
Provides you with the BIKECLIP and its TRAVEL BAG, so you can park, clean and protect your bike, wherever you go.
You get the BIKECLIP and its TRAVEL BAG so you can even park, clean and protect your bike in style with the fancy DESIGN COVER.
Get’s your team fully equiped with 20 BIKECLIPS incl. DESIGN COVERS, 20 TRAVEL BAGS, 20 Bioracer BikeClip CYCLING OUTFITS and 20 BikeClip WATER BOTTLES. Oh yeah!
Meet Maurice Paulssen
The idea for BikeClip came to me a year ago. I was involved in the developing of bike stands for city municipalities and I discovered that people didn’t want to park their bikes in ugly, non-functional stands that are damaging their bikes.
I created a multi bicycle bike stand that people would love to park their bikes in. It was functional and safe for all different types of bikes, from race bikes and mountain bikes till mummy bikes and even electric bikes. The multi bicycle bike stand for city municipalities became a great success in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe. It has won many prices and awards and the design is even patented.
Then my friends and I thought that we actually needed such a stand for our own use as well. As true bike maniacs, we cycle many miles together. Racing over the concrete, or beating the forces of nature on steep hills and muddy roads. We concluded that we needed a stand to easily park our bikes in while cleaning the bike, pumping tires, doing small repairs and lube chains. A bike stand as safe as the multi bicycle bike stand for city municipalities, but in a light, easy to transport and easy to assemble version. And of course, it had to be affordable.
Together with the guys from LUMO labs I started to create the first prototypes. We used fibre reinforced plastics and lightweight aluminium to keep the stand lightweight and created a system that can hold every type of bike.
Tested by bike maniacs
The BikeClip is tested extensively in real-life. Not only by early adapter bike maniacs and (semi) professional racers. But also by bike-loving families. Today the BikeClip is ready for you. And we know you’re ready for BikeClip!
BikeClip Bottom Bracket
In the first week, we received many questions if it is possible to lift the rear wheel off the ground. Maurice went straight back to his drawing table and designed the BikeClip Bottom Bracket in addition to use with the BikeClip so you can lift the rear wheel off the ground. This way you can change your derailleur settings, clean and lube your chain or do small repairs. The Bottom Bracket will be designed like the BikeClip; solid, easy and no nonsense. The product will be available in two lengths for different bikes.

Partners in Quality
Risks and challenges
At BikeClip we are confident in our ability to deliver your BikeClip on schedule with the highest level of quality and attention to detail. Therefore, BikeClip has chosen the best possible partners from prototyping, tooling and production, up to the last mile delivery to your doorstep. No matter where you live or decide to have your BikeClip delivered.
That's why we don't expect any big risks and challenges when we are successfully funded. We have a long relationship with the current manufacturer of BikeClip and thus far they have never disappointed us before when working together.
When our campaign is a big success, which we hope, and we would encounter high demand, we are able to scale up production and logistics accordingly. The final assembly and packaging will be done at Seabourne Supply Chain in the Netherlands with support of Backerkits’ software solution. Seabourne Supply Chain will ship via DHL and UPS and if needed via a local fulfillment center on a certain continent.
Of course we can never exclude all risks, such as climatic or political events, and this could cause an unexpected delay. Sharing our adventure that is one of the many things we love about Kickstarter. We will keep our backers well informed. During the campaign via Kickstarter and after the campaign via Backerkit and our own social media channels.
We are confident about our abilities in fulfilling this project and we hope you will contact us with any fear you might have or any question that might be unanswered.
