They said that they will think about a version with a dashcam, but this will NOT be the version 1 you receive over Kickstarter.
They will do exactly what they said in the campaign and they will focus on the quality and on the functionality of the mentioned features.
They said it will work with the standard player from your phone and with Spotify, Apple Music and Google Music. Other players will be added with an updated software after Chris is delivered.
Chris has a rechargeable battery, but it will only last for about a hour when you use it. In general you will have to attach the power cable to the windshield socket that you can use Chris for a longer period of time.
Does Chris work with other music apps (as it says in the description, "Music from your smartphone")?
Also is there a rechargeable battery on this device? It'd be great if we can charge this under the arm rest and then mount it over the dashboard or the glass without power cables dangling through.
@germanautolabs You will get warm words now, but wait until it hits January 2018... you won't get any of those warm words at that time. Good luck with the project, and here is hoping that you've made a realistic deadline and will make it for then.

Hi I had the same issue what I had to do was click on the link that came with the 're enter payment info' which then asks you to sign into Kickstarter and reconfirm the payment type (which card / VISA, etc) And if you were like me I had more than enough funds to cover the payment in my current card selected, so I don't know why it did not happen automatically but it did work after reselecting which card to use. I got another email stating funds withdrawn but then checked through my online banking to confirm. I suggest you do the same as above.

Does Chris can be tuned with the personalised assistance rather than standardized in future. Example it may store your routine destinations like banks, office, parents, relatives, friends address, read the interested news updates as per your interests? Its more software approach ..
@Viyendra: Chris is designed to support drivers while they are at the wheel. Of course you could still talk to Chris while in the office or at home if you can´t get enough of it... but this might raise some eyebrows (and also not unleash the full potential of both device and AI).

If you are located outside these regions (like Australia would be) there unfortunately only is the option to pledge for a single device in the Global Kickstarter Standard reward. Noch zur Dashcam. Ihr könntet eine Dashcam evtl. als "Upgrade" planen. Also den Halter tauschen und damit die Cam dann integriert haben. Wäre ja schade Chris ersetzen zu müssen um dieses Feature dann zu haben.
Mit der Blitzerapp stimme ich Samuel Schmidt zu, das wäre wirklich hilfreich.
@Sven C.: Vielen Dank! Zum Launch im Dez 2017 konzentrieren wir uns auf die in der Kampagne genannten Dienste, wir wollen das richtig gut machen und uns nicht verzetteln. Grundsätzlich sollen danach aber weitere Dienste integriert werden, zudem wollen wir die Plattform für Dritte öffnen. Die Dash-Cam war tatsächlich mal im Konzept, aus den genannten Gründen haben wir Video aber nach hinten verlegt.

Noch zur Dashcam. Ihr könntet eine Dashcam evtl. als "Upgrade" planen. Also den Halter tauschen und damit die Cam dann integriert haben. Wäre ja schade Chris ersetzen zu müssen um dieses Feature dann zu haben.
Mit der Blitzerapp stimme ich Samuel Schmidt zu, das wäre wirklich hilfreich.

@Sven C.: Vielen Dank! Zum Launch im Dez 2017 konzentrieren wir uns auf die in der Kampagne genannten Dienste, wir wollen das richtig gut machen und uns nicht verzetteln. Grundsätzlich sollen danach aber weitere Dienste integriert werden, zudem wollen wir die Plattform für Dritte öffnen. Die Dash-Cam war tatsächlich mal im Konzept, aus den genannten Gründen haben wir Video aber nach hinten verlegt.
@Whiletrue: No, after launch only and we really can´t give an exact date. As said we want to focus and make Chris real good, that´s why we decided to stick to English and German for now - but French is definately on the list.
@Jobi Mani: Yes, India is fully navigable.
@Thanos Chatzirgiotidis: It shows a simplyfied turn-by-turn on the display, just in case you didn´t understand the last command. Chris is powered by AI so it will understand simply through usage what´s important and what´s not.

Eine Dash-Cam Integration wäre natürlich noch genial, aber für mich ist es kein Grund Chris nicht zu unterstützen.
