Frequently Asked Questions
We really want to celebrate our retailers and give them something special. If a backer at this level is a verified retailer, then we will:
1.) Get you 6 copies of the game (each game includes every stretch goal)
2.) List your store's name in the game's rulebook. Even if we, for some reason, we reprint the rulebook, your store will always be listed in the rulebook under a section dedicated to "BOOMING STORES."
3.) We will list your store's contact information on our website's STORE LOCATOR PAGE. If, for any reason, your store's information changes, contact us and we'll update your listing.
4.) We will mention your store's name in a COMMERCIAL within our documentary film BOOM OR DOOM!
In our documentary BOOM or DOOM!, Sean and I will do a commercial bit (about 15 seconds long) where we are going to go to a retail store. Before we go, we'll discuss what store we are going to go to. We'll suggest several stores... and they'll be all of the store names provided by our Retail Boomers. You can check out the documentary details here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gerdling/boom-or-doom-kickstarter-adventures-in-the-tableto?ref=liveLast updated:
We're so excited about hitting our Digital Media Upgrade stretch goal and we want to make sure everyone knows what's going on with it. We realize a lot of you are probably trying to decide whether you should print the game out now, so that you're ready to play for the holidays, or if you should wait for the updated art.
The short answer is: We won't have the updated art until the game is sent to print.
Here's the long answer: We'll be tweaking the art and text all the way until the last minute. Looking for typos and errors in wording. Trying to make our text the clearest it can be. We'll be looking over all the cards individually and as a set, to make sure each piece is powerful and easily recognizable for those fast-paced co-reveals. Once the documents are sent to the printer and approved, we'll re-format the art so that they fit on 8.5"x11" sheets and we'll make sure they have clear trim lines, etc. so they are easy to cut out. Once that's done, we'll toss up a link in an update.
My honest opinion (this is Sean talking here): Once the Kickstarter ends in November, we'll be finishing everything up and sending everything over to the printer. However, it's a 2-3 week process for them to get the cards in the right format, make sure there are no missing files, etc. and then get us back a proof. After that we'll submit more changes. EVEN IF WE GET IT 100% RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, this would still put us past Christmas. That means, if you're looking forward to playing Two Rooms with friends and family over Christmas, I'd print out the current available set. We will have an update to the Beta Pnp set (the one currently out) by Christmas though (more details on that to come).
We've always had love for our PnP fans, which is why we've kept it available for free for as long as we have - we hope that you guys can be patient with us through the printing process, so that we can ensure that we get you the absolute best quality update to your pnp files as possible.Last updated:
Answer: All of it except for the digital content.
By the end of the campaign, this is what we are hoping to be the physical contents of the retail box:
-Over-sized Leader cards
-120 (plastic?) cards
Please understand that the availability of plastic cards and the full 120 cards depends on the stretch goals we reach. At this time, the cards are not plastic and we only can afford to have 105 cards in the box.Last updated:
Before answer, we should clearly define "Kickstarter exclusive." Kickstarter exclusive means anything that is only ever going to be available through this specific campaign. "Kickstarter exclusives" never include what is available at retail, promotional cards that will also be available at future times (conventions, retails, future kickstarter projects), or anything digital (as pirates can make it available to the public).
Our official answer:
1) Getting your name, initials, or company listed in the rulebook. This can be done through the GOLD BOOM SUPPORTER and PLATINUM BOOM SUPPORTER pledge levels.
2) Getting a video shout out in our Boom or Doom documentary. This can be done through the PLATINUM BOOM SUPPORTER pledge level.Last updated:
