Geo Tots Eco-Educational app is the gateway to curiosity and exploration of the outdoors and nature's ecological wonders. Geo Tots will take you and your young child on an interactive adventure through diverse world environments and habitats. Come and explore with us!
Yes, we've met our original Goal! But we still need you to "Bee a Backer". Help us grow this community and make our STReeeeeetch Goal of $16,800...read more:
Our debut Honey Bee Mazes game is the first in a series of eco-educational apps for Geo Tots. Young children will stay engaged as they learn the life cycles of bees, the roles bees play within the hive, and the importance of pollination. Tots will love the playful activities embedded in the game, and you'll love that their screen time will be quality educational time. Tots earn digital Bee Keeper Badges as they discover what role each bee plays inside the beehive. The mazes, rich with educational animations and interactive activities, also teach children how sounds are essential to pollination. Complete 4 distinct levels of exciting mazes to move on to the free bonus round: Get honey to the Bee Keeper!
Bees are a gateway insect to eco-education. Our lives wouldn't look the same or be as rich without them. You can thank bees for everything from the juice in our fridge to the blueberries in our pancakes to a Halloween pumpkin. Games give young children a fun way to learn the importance of bees, and can inspire them to go out in the world to learn even more about nature.
Our team is eager to build this educational game for toddlers and preschoolers. We bring expertise and rich backgrounds to the table. Co-Founder Jaynée Howe brings a deep background in digital content creation, production, mobile development, and distribution. Chuck Whelon is a widely published game designer and illustrator who has already published many maze books of mazes. Helena Carmena Young is our Subject Matter Specialist, a Science Teacher, and Khan Academy Video consultant at The California Academy of Sciences. See more about all the team on the bio page.
We're seeking $15,000 to develop our first Geo Tots app: Honey Bee Mazes, we are calling Bee Amazed!. This activity will be the first in a series of habitat-focused games (available on iPhones and Android) that are part of a larger app called Geo Tots. Once we reach our fundraising goal, Bee Amazed! will go straight into development and be alive and buzzing and in the app stores by fall. Our animator is eager to bring this game (and yummy virtual honey) to your kids! We have plans for each dollar we raise and are already prepared to make an even richer app with more interactive animations as we continue to raise funds above our goal.
Update: We have reached our original goal (thank you for getting it) and want you to know we have "Stretch Goals"! Memory Matching games are very popular, easy to build and we'll already have the art assets from Bee Amazed! With $16,800, just $1,800 over our existing goal, we can add this game into this app. Let's do it!
Learn Who's Who in the Hive!
Geo Tots' Honeybee Mazes provides a fun and interactive activity while teaching kids about the importance of pollination and the role that bees have in nature. We decided to create our first app focused on honeybees because bees are familiar to kids, essential to the health of our trees and plants, and responsible for so much of the food we enjoy. Additionally, we can virtually bring tots inside a hive to show them the amazing work that is difficult for tots to witness up close in nature.

Risks and challenges
We're hungry to overcome the distribution hurdle. Our focus will be on spreading our message to parents and educators about the benefits of eco-educational games for kids. We are confident that nature-loving parents and kids can enjoy Bee Amazed! as a gateway or catalyst for further science exploration and learning in the broader world.
We are a for profit company eager to get to market with our app.
Any production has risks. We understand that. We have the chops and the experience needed to produce this app. Jaynée has produced multiple apps over the last decade, and brings more than 15 years of production experience to the team. See more about all the team on the bio page.
We will run a lean development process and keep our focus on delivering a simple and thoughtful educational app. We have a project plan itemizing what we will do with the funds we're asking you to contribute.
The Production Costs:
Development (coded in Corona SDK) $7,500
Teaching Animations $2,500
Music and sound effects $1,500
We will focus the rest on marketing... because everyone knows it's more fun if more people play!
We want to share this app, and, already have parents who can't wait to buy it in the app stores. It is the perfect time for an app like this. We are the World's First Honey Bee Maze Game by Geo Tots. Please show your support.
