Pledge Manager is Ready!

Hello all!

(this is a long and picture-heavy update, but we think it's worth it :) Starting with a picture to get you in the mood)

Took a bit to finish... but you will enjoy the possibilities :)
Took a bit to finish... but you will enjoy the possibilities :)

Finally, our Pledge Manager is fully detailed, and up and running. So we will start sending waves of invites to all you backers, starting early tomorrow morning! It took awhile, mostly in order to finalise every last detail of the options you can have in your pledges, along with photographs of what you will be getting. Also, we went ahead and expanded a bit the available stuff, with even more options, tile designs and accessories! Finally, a serious accident kept me away for a couple of weeks, causing some extra delays.

However, I feel you will be happy with the result; you will be able to check every detail and option of what you are getting, and I think we will temp you with ideas and add-ons which will enhance your set even more.

Pledge Manager info

As mentioned in the last Update, the PM will actually run as a part of our established e-shop, in a special category where you can place an "order" corresponding to your Urban Battlefields pledge. After you have chosen everything you want, the sum you have pledged during the Kickstarter campaign will be deducted from the overall.

To facilitate this, each and everyone of you will be getting an invitation email these coming days. The email will ask you to make an account in our site (if you don't already have one), and will also include a Unique Code you will be able to use on checkout. The Code corresponds to the amount pledged during the campaign, for you to spend on base Pledge sets and extras.

The email will be send to each backer personally, through the KS messaging system - i.e. you will probably be getting it in the same inbox as this Update. Do not worry if you don't see an invite immediately; the invite process will take 3 or 4 days at least.

What will I find in the Pledge Manager?

Actually, you can go check now for yourself :) The PM is live in the site right now, in order to check for bugs or emissions and for final text editing. So, feel free to create an account, browse around and check what you are getting; and of course drop us a line if you see anything in need of explaining (or correcting).

However, I'd like to present some the things you will find in the PM and you will either be seen for the first time or you have seen only schematics. So, apart for the 3 main Pledge Set options and known extras, make sure you check out:

CITY CANAL & HARBOURS

A full 3'x3' Urban setup with "Medieval" Harbours, Canals, roads and bridges!
A full 3'x3' Urban setup with "Medieval" Harbours, Canals, roads and bridges!

During the Campaign we had shown only the "Medieval" version of the Harbour quays, and have shown schematics of the Canal tiles. In the Pledge Manager City Canals and City Harbours are separate entries with almost all available separate designs and themes shown in the galleries so you can better understand the way they look.

I must stress that these are not simple prototypes but actual products with parts cast in resin from the moulds we have already made.

CANAL BRIDGES

We had announced the additions of Bridges to cross the City Canals in a KS Update, and we have already shown you the "Medieval" Stone Bridge. You will find both the Stone and Asphalt bridge in the PM

MORE TRANSITION OPTIONS

We expanded the "Transition" tile designs with another featuring a straight road, which was requested by many: the "Transition Straight Road- Along". It allows to fully go over from one Pedion theme to another, be it Urban or Outdoors, or a combination of them. The same can be done (without the road) with the "Open Ground Transition"

CUSTOM MOSAIC DESIGNS ON "OPEN SPACE" TILES

That's something completely new, not presented during the KS: we can engrave and paint a customised design on a "Open Space" tile. The idea is that by ordering an Open Space tile with Custom design, we can engrave a special mosaic to adorn your battlefields. It can be a motif which will make the urban set look the role for specific game universes or scenarios. And, you can always remove it and use a standard open space tile in its place when you play a different game or world (something not possible with other urban boards which have fixed designs).

The custom design will be engraved and detailed on the tile, and then hand painted to stand out. It can act as a building floor, a mosaic, a Scenario Objective area, or just an adornment. We have prepared three (3) different designs we can engrave in your tiles, but you can always ask for something else. You can see in the gallery and ordering options how we can implement an "Arcane Pentagram" (for your Fantasy Games), a Helipad/dropship pad (for modern and scifi scenarios) and even an Imperial Eagle (for scifi Cathedrals). You can order one of these 3 designs or you can send us your own.

If you want us to implement a custom design of your own making, you can get an idea from the 3 we already have whether it is feasible or not. The design must be drawn in some detail (no oral descriptions qualify) and must fit an area of maximum 20cm in diameter. Please Contact Us to send us the design request, or just for inquiring whether the design you have in mind can be done. Please keep in mind that if you ask for extremely complex and/or demanding designs the tile cost may rise.

MAGNETIC ACCESSORIES

Another thing we had talked about in the KS but had not shown: a series of accessories and scenics which could make use of "Magnetised" tiles. The idea is that they stand upright realistically, without using any bases, and they do not fall even if you flip the tile. In the "Urban Accessories (Magnetic Base option)" PM sub-section, you will find many of these, including our new walls, fences, urban trees, flower beds, city sculpts, traffic lights and street lamps.

MORE FILES IN THE DIGITAL IMAGES SETS

As promised, we expanded the Sets of digital images from the first (Digital) reward level, to include as many pictures as possible from their respective theme. So, our backers will be getting 12 to 15 images of tiles, canals and harbours, instead of the original 4! I guess this was worth it the extra wait.

DISCOUNT -10% ON ALL OUTDOORS BASE SETS

Were you considering getting one of the  outdoor sets from our first Kickstarter? Then here is your chance: while the Urban KS Pledge Manager is active, all the "Outdoors" Base Battlefield Sets (from 2'x3' to 6'x4') are at 10% OFF! Even single extra tiles like crops, craters, coastlines etc are at 5% OFF. We will combine shipping with your urban pledge, although each outdoors set will add a bit to the delivery time (check their descriptions).

I am hoping you also find that all these were worth the extra wait - and remember that all these are already under production, so we will start on your orders right away. So stay alert for that invite, and then create the urban board you always wanted.

George

      Glad you like them people!
@Robert - worry not, your code will deduct the current (normal) cost of your set, not the discounted "Early bird" one. The only prerequisite will be that your order includes the set (e.g. the 4x4) you pledged for.
@Marcoreds - well, this is something I forgot to implement :) As a quick a dirty solution, you (and anyone wanting to expand to the sea) can right now do this: order the "open water" tiles from the "coastlines" category, and make sure you state in the Comments of your order that they are for the "Urban" harbours. That way we'll make sure not only that they do not have the "wave" finish, but that they are in the proper colouring (I've gone with a much darker tone for deep waters in the urban harbours)

As for the PM pictures people, we pride ourselves that these are just as they were photographed, without any form of "filter" or "photoshoping" (just cropping off surroundings and an "auto-contrast" button). So, if you like what you see, know that it's even better up close :)

      Hi George,
      Great looking pledge manager :-)
I was an early bird 4' x4' pledge. How will you work the early bird discount?

      Thanks,
      Robert

Hello mr. George, this is great, really gorgeous tiles!

I also very much like the new transition tiles, will have to add them too!

I am really looking forward to creating a canal town, can wait to get the tiles!!!

There's one thing I would like to ask (request?) though.

In the build I have in mind, I would like to extend the "water side" of the bay.

As in, take the picture of the canal city you put in the pledge manager/shop
      https://dqzrr9k4bjpzk.cloudfront.net/images/7050015/613171365.jpg

I would like to add some all-water tiles on the front, so that there can be scenes with ships, adding pier pieces that I have/will be getting.

Now, I've looked in the Outdoors section of the shop, and there are "open water" tiles, but the surface is different from the canal tiles, it's worked very "rugged", as to simulate the waves of the open sea.

Would it be possible to add in the urban terrain the possibility to order plain, liquid water tiles with flat surface, just like the smooth surface of the canal/harbours tiles? That would be great to expand in the direction of the water!

Thank you for looking into this, and have a nice day!
