Have a question?
I hope you feel better soon.
@all - it will be in the next update, but I have had a serious accident in October where a quite heavy backer box (around pounds) fell on my face and I almost lost my left eye. Eye was saved, but vision remained blurry and I finally had had to undergo a minor operation to fix things a bit, along with lenses for correction (not to mentioned I looked and felt like beaten up by a thug :) ). All this meant I could't properly paint and finish up sets, although production did not stop as there are anther two people working on KS1. So, from this week lots of sets will finish up and be on their way, so that some more people can have them on Christmas.
So, any news for us that are still waiting? Any chance of getting anything before christmas?
@Rabbit Burner - all of my attempts to create an account have proved fruitless :) However I do pop in silently to have a peek now and again.
@Bob - if your not on the DF forums then I recommend you have a look - there are some fabulous castle builds on there :)
@George, thanks for the reply, looking forward to receiving my tiles and can't wait to start gaming on them :)
@Pat - the idea was to commence after fulfilment, but it is taking too long; so what we are doing is that we try and include as much as possible of the subscription stuff as part of the main order (usually up to the first 6 months worth). This allows us to send lots of stuff in one shipment, so you get more goodies - even a couple of tiles- and they are chosen to match and complement the original set, instead of the random choices I originally intented
@Bob - your battle reports are excellent, I'm honoured you are using Pedion for them!
@Rabbit - the gaps in your box are almost filled again with more winter goodness ;) on their way soon!
@Joshua and Nate - we are working furiously guys, and now we have magnets, so more on their way!
@George is there any information on how the subscription service will work? Thanks :)
RB: yes indeed. Your plan sounds splendid!
JTH: Take heart! It is.
My poor miniatures want to fight on some awesome terrain,, but the wait I am sure is worth it.
Bob I also backed DF City builder which I intend to combine with Castles and ultimately Pedion.
Ahhh 'The Warlord' :) that got several nostalgic mentions in the DF forums and Watchtower will look great next to your river on your gorgeous Pedion tiles.
You just need to take more pictures :)
The main reason I pledged for Winter Pedion tiles was to recreate Bolt Action 'Battle of the Bulge'. But DF and GoT has rekindled the Fantasy gamer in me - so many more possibilities....
Hi Nate! Thank you and I know exactly how you feel. Well worth the wait!
Rabbit! OOOH winter! I also pledged for castle builder, and city builder before that, to use with Pedion. Limited my castle builder to recreating the watch tower from "The Warlord" with enough extra bits to make it a sorcerer's lair as well. Converted and painted some 15mm balrogs to use as 28mm R E Howard-esque flying man to, urh, flying man the tower...
George! First game already set up. Situation and plans on my blog.
Bob What Nate said :)
that's a big table choc full of FAB terrain - love it
Have my table mostly clear ready for my 'Winter is coming' pledge.
Combined with my awesome DF castle, Winterfell will be mine - eat that Littlefinger!
Hope you enjoy many a good game on them Bob! :)
Thanks for the pics Bob. But it makes it even harder for me to wait for my pledge.
Glad I invested in this company. These guys are dedicated artists.
My great big package of FAB arrived today. Some photos and thoughts at: https://mcmdgames.blogspot.com/2017/09/pedion-terrain-tiles-have-arrived.html
Hi Manny, good. We are kneed deep in work, so we will probably move on as you requested but later this year. Please do not use the Comments section for private communication, we will talk through the personal massaging system and/or email.
Hi George. How are you? Did you receive my email sent some three weeks ago? Thanks!
Riley is good to hear it! yours was a really big package :)
Do not worry about your son - I let mine play with the tiles (the ultimate quality control test ;) ) and they survive just fine :) Have a nice vacation!
George: Kickstarter tiles received. Thanks! Wow.
The rivers are amazing. The roads, forest tiles, and rough (broken?) terrain tiles all have more texture and detail work than I expected.
I'm very impressed and pleased.
I'd love to post pictures, (and I will do so as soon as I finally have time to set something up), but for now I have to put them away before my five-year-old son sees them and destroys them. Then I'm off on vacation for a couple weeks, so it'll be a bit on those pictures.
These were well worth the wait!
Apologies for the delayed answer Henrik, we are working furiously. It is actually a continuous effort, so both are true :) we send 2 or 3 sets per months now, so some people will get theirs during the summer months.
George, only 15 left now as per the latest update, any indication if we will get our boards before or after summer?
Cheers / Henrik
@Riley - we are working furiously post-KS2 to send more large orders, thus the quiet :) I'was planning to post on how are things later this week though
George, it's been 2 months since your last update.
Any progress to report?
My condolences on the loss of your orks.
Got to meet George and David Yeomans at Salute this weekend - both top blokes could have spent all day chatting to them, but they had potential customers to impress :)
George insisted I took away some of the KS1 tiles that he had on display (as part of my KS1 pledge) - looked awesome btw
Set them up yesterday took some pictures - though my 10 year old daughter high jacked them and promptly killed all my Orks with her skeletons !!!
Bob I'm on my way to Salute I'll send you a pm as soon as I land
Hello George! Just wondering if you can provide an update on the status of my order #111? Thanks!
Got my table ready for them when they arrive so will get some pics posted as soon as I can :)
Thanks for reporting that. It's good to know that shipping is still progressing. Only 18 of us left to go, then!
Also, please post pics when you get 'em! I wish I had pledged for a winter set, and I hope to get one some day.
oooohh just got an email that my Winter boards are being processed ...#Excited!!
I second that. Please share a few pics.
Yay, Jay! Feel welcome to share pics.
We just got our box and everything looks great! The river tile are beautiful.
Cant wait to geht my stuff. Lucky my Konflikt 47 are ready to conquer someone nee Terrain.Hopefully i get it early feb. At the right Time for my Birthday:-)
Been prepping for my terrain, finally got my table cleared and started to actually paint some mins :D.
Keep up the good work George the pictures look amazing!
Well worth the wait I am sure and thank you for your hard work and efforts!
Glad you're soldiering onward, George!
Dying to get my pledge, but it'll be worth the wait, based on the pictures I've seen.
Or, does anyone have any more pics they can post?
Thanks for your persistence, George.
I loved seeing pictures of peoples' terrain in use. Has anyone come across any more examples?
@Henrik - every time I tried to do a final delivery calculation by volume it has been completely thrown of. I do not think 2 months are enough, the sets now are quite big and many require two, three weeks to finish; of course we do work on more than one each time.
With the current pace of work I described in the update I think we can do 4-5 per month, but again, I do not want to say something and turn out incredibly wrong again, the 8x4s are huge... :(
Only 22 backers left to fulfill. Does that mean we, the last ones, could possibly get our stuff in Jan-Feb?
(So I'll be visiting Sicily in March; if only I'd been smart and somehow routed through Athens, I might've eliminated the intercontinental postage problem. But then I'd have to trust Delta (and Alitalia!) to treat these things gently. No, that's not actually a good idea at all...)
Hello and Happy New Year to all; Production is moving along the lines I described in the December upgrade, we are now down to 22 backers for fulfillment, but I'll send a more detailed estore update today or tomorrow for more info.
Any updates on production progress, George? Thanks.
Put something like 'Roof Tiles' or 'Pipe Cladding' on the boxes, basically something that would not pique her interest or make her unpack her surprise Vacuum Cleaner .....noooooooo!!!!!
Apologies George I have a habit of making up words - keeps my kids on their toes!!!
Oh now I get it :) :) Then I should either paint the box in household camo (i.e. to look like a vacuum cleaner box or something like that), or include a small jewelry gift to distract unwanted attention...
I guess Rabbits comment is following from your discussion with Crazy cat. I know I'm trying to work out how to sneak the box past the wife. Just hoping she isn't home, and I can then hide it in the car...
@Rabbit - lost you there? sneakability? :)
Great update George :)
So am I to believe there is no 'sneakability' built into your packaging ?
