Adding Chlorine to create a "Chemist" Expansion!
A few people commented that the current Stretch Goals were pretty weak. Well, I want you to know that I am listening, and here is my response. First, I've reduced the goal of ALL Current Stretch Goals, AND added....
I'm adding an ENTIRE Expansion to your copy of Covalence if we can hit the $50,000 mark! This Expansion, which we have dubbed the “Chemist" adds an entirely new element, Chlorine, to the Organic Clue cards, the Element Tiles AND THUS almost triples the number of molecular permutations.
This will greatly increase complexity, giving players more options and requiring more hints, resulting in a longer, more thought-out game!
We like how quick and risky the current version plays, and how player's can change roles from Builder to Knower multiple times. And we LOVE how many parents have played this version with their kids with great success. BUT, we wanted to have an option for entirely new pacing. The heightened difficulty this "Chemist" Expansion creates allows for that.
But adding this much stuff to the current version is not going to be cheap, which is why we've set this stretch goal as $50K. But I am confident we can make it. The Ion campaign saw major growth in the last two weeks of the campaign and if we can start spreading the word, about the game, I don't think we will have any problems reaching the Expansion stretch goal!
Lastly, we’re gonna need a LOT of help naming, and retrieving data about all these new molecules (somewhere around 30 new ones!!!). If you’re a chemist, or you just love naming molecules and "geeking out" over chemistry data, and you want to help, please email me at John@GotGeniusGames.com with the subject line "Naming Expansion Molecules"
