Love. Creativity. Enjoyment. Curiosity. Friendship. Spirituality. Psychological research shows that we are all driven by the same things - but differ in how we prioritise them. 58 values guide every aspect of our lives, shaping who we are both personally and as a society.
This research inspired designer Genis Carreras - creator of Philographics - to produce The Values Deck: an accessible, user-friendly set of cards that make visible these invisible drivers of human behaviour.
Influenced by the work of Otto Neurath and Gerd Arntz, pioneers of information design, we have crafted:
- 58 beautifully-designed Value Cards, each with an identical back for use in games, exercises and other activities;
- 6 engaging Activity Cards, featuring games to play with friends and activities to improve your working life;
- 6 fascinating Fact Cards, offering information on the different sets of values and how they influence our lives.
These cards are both beautiful and functional - a great piece of design and a useful learning resource. As well as helping people understand what values are and why they matter, the exercises and activities provide those already familiar with values a chance to experiment further.
If we reach £20,000 we will add a pack of 10 wallpapers (for desktop and mobile) to all the rewards!

Risks and challenges
The project poses next to no risk: the cards have been designed, pre-press completed and the printers are reliable. We have done one Kickstarter project before so we know how to handle the distribution of all the rewards to all backers. The cards will be ready to be shipped in April!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
