RPG Dice Board - A Dice Rolling Gadget for the Modern Age
A classy, spring-loaded, interchangeable dice popper game board for RPG gaming tabletop connoisseurs. Protect your dice in style!
From the minds that brought you the Role Playing Dice Gauntlet, Geekify returns again to bring you the Dice POPR Gaming Board. The Personal Object for Producing Rolls (P.O.P.R.) is a triumph in engineering, designed and inspired by the inspired classic feel of Trouble's Pop-o-matic to bring a new generation of board games and tabletop gaming.
The Dice Board
The POPR is a housing, nay, a shrine, for polyhedral dice of all kinds, from the garden variety six-sided die to the overly pretentious hundred-sided and up. The construction allows you to easily change out the dice contents, and our larger models allow you to include multiple dice in the same enclosure. Each board is made of solid, finished wood and features a spring mechanism that pops the dice in a random roll when you push down on the dome.
Your dice are kept in one safe, convenient board that can travel with you for your gaming sessions, or be enshrined in your home as the ultimate conversation piece for the hardcore gamers.
Whether you're rolling for initiative or trading sheep for brick, this handy little device adds to the game in ways you can't even imagine. It's been personally tested in games of D&D, Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, Settlers of Catan, Pathfinder, Arkham Horror, Battlestar Galactica, Candyland, Warhammer, and many others, with an immensely satisfying cla-CLUNK pop sound.
We Need Your Help
We've got our Single Dome models in production already, but we'd love to take this idea and make something truly wild with it, to make something unique and beautiful for the gaming community. We're geeks to our core, and the Dice Board is an opportunity to bring some amazing designs to life to share with the geek world. We're offering a carved and engraved version of the Dice Board for our first run, the perfect thing to guard your dice in style.
By adding vacuum-forming, CNC routers, and mills to our tool set, the sky becomes the limit. Our artists can draft new designs and faceplates incorporating designs from sci-fi and fantasy, and we can afford quality or exotic hardwoods, various kinds of carvable stones, brass and bronze, to make your dice truly arcane.
- Works with any dice
- You can change out your dice on the go
- Usable in any dice-rolling game

- No more choking hazards
- Keeps bad luck, bad juju, and bad Cheetos stains from contaminating your dice

Risks and challenges
Our company exists to bring geeky ideas to life, to take those moments of "That needs to exist." and actually running with them. We think the Dice Board and POPRs are a really cool idea. It's all the nostalgia and goodness of old-school board games, brought to the 21st century, and wrapped up in a utilitarian attitude. But it's not without risks!
We're Kickstarting this project so we can take it to the next level and mass produce the first generation of Dice Boards. Creating the Dice Boards requires:
-CNC routing / Laser cutting
-Sanding / Finishing
A successful Kickstarter helps us buy the large orders needed to scale the component prices economically. We've already developed our supply chain and are in contact with our manufacturers, awaiting orders - unless the world's supply of plastic and wood bottoms out, we're all set for production. However, unforeseen challenges can arise - we've watched some of our friends and peers on Kickstarter struggle with the sheer volume of orders, or other aspects of production. Machines can break, unanticipated bugs can crop up, and assembly can take longer than expected, so we've budgeted plenty of time for production. We'll also be sending some boards out as testers to select backers for feedback, and we encourage the community to send us ideas and suggestions about the designs as we go!
We anticipate shipping our first run of boards within three months of the end of the Kickstarter, with production beginning in the first month after funds are received. We hope to ship well before the estimated shipping dates, and we're on the lookout for hiccups. We'll keep the community well-informed of snags and goings-on, as we encounter any.
So pitch a few dollars, post it to your Facebook, and wish us luck!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
