Have a question?
I sent a message through Kickstarter. Still nothing yet.
I emailed you as well. Not received here is the US. Address verified with you is good.
Thank you, Gareth. It's greatly appreciated!
Thanks for letting us know Aaron. We’ll get you sorted out.
I sent an email but I haven't received my copy yet in the United States. Address is correct too and it would not have been stolen from where I live. Hoping to hear back soon.
Everyone, worldwide, should now have their copies of Periorbis. If you do not have your game(s) or if you have components missing from your set, Please send me a message through KickStarter or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Nope... nothing yet...
Dec 1st ... Nothing ... I grow despondent.
I'm still waiting unfortunately.......
(sigh)Nothing yet ....
Hey Gareth, the game looks great, but I am missing 6 yellow base markers. Can you send them?
Got my game! Looks in perfect shape! Thanks!
Glad it’s at my home, look forward to getting it on the table. Congratulations on completing the Kickstarter fulfillment(well, for me, anyway...)! Well done.
Thanks for letting us know you're receiving your games safely folks!
@Trevor - yay, we made it!
Received today, in Ontario, Canada. No notification, came via Royal Mail. Everything intact, accounted for... Congrats on a successful delivery!
Received today in Reading, UK after having received a non-functional tracking number a few weeks ago. Looking forward to playing!
in case unclear, "I got project update 67, but no other notification" is in response to Adrian's reply yesterday
I got project update 67, but no other notification
The game has arrived! It is like a prophecy being fulfilled! :)
Anyway... this was the oldest game waiting on my Kickstarter list. Very satisfying to check it off.
Looking forward to playing the game!
@Ross Thanks for the info, I haven't heard back from them yet. I received a shipping notification for Gloomhaven two days ago also, I bet I'll get the two games on the same day and won't know what do do with myself haha.
@Mariano José Barrio Fuentes: This is enough.
Hi, I just received the game, all correct but it is missed the orange set of employee discs. Should I send an email to "contact@GamesQuest.co.uk or it is enough with this comment??
@Adrian I got a response today and apparently there's a holdup at their courier due to increased volume of parcels. Basically, give it a few days.
@Gerard Did you get a shipping notification? I did on the 26th of Oct but no sign of the package, I have contacted GamesQuest and they have said they will contact their courier and get back to me when the have any info, but haven't heard back from them yet. Oh Ya, I'm in Ireland so not too far from yourself.
Not received yet (mainland UK). Should I be concerned?
@Gus Smedstad: In practical terms it’s not something that happens. Perhaps once as you learn the game.
Remember you have a wage tracker, so you know what your wage bill is before you start your turn, and the game is essentially about making best use of your available resources, so thinking about wage and improvement costs is an integral part of taking your turn.
@Edward Burr: That’s sufficient Edward. We’ll get them in the post.
Any Canadians getting their copy as of yet? I'm suspecting it'll be in the next 2 weeks, but now that it's enroute, the eagerness of it all is kicking in.
I received my game yesterday and discovered that it is missing all the cubes (180 player cubes and 27 ore cubes). Everything else appears to be present. What do I need to do to get these? I tried submitting this through the "contact" link on your website last night but it keeps giving me a "500 internal server error" when I try.
You're saying you have to undo your turn if you end it without enough money to pay wages? That's a really clumsy solution. Particularly when you potentially have 7 actions. I've seen a lot of other games get fouled up when a player made an error that required any more rewinding that aborting the current action.
Also, it's still not clear what the expected method is for marking a miner as having used their action. Flipping their token over seems like a solution, but the rules don't address that case at all.
@Gus Smedstad: Paying wages is the last step in a turn. You can handle cash shortages by not using some workers, selling research or ore in your HQ, or by signing in to a contract and receiving the advance.
You have to pay expenses as you go. So paying for a base needs to be done when you take the build a base action. This means you might need to sell some research and then build a base. If you can’t pay your wage bill you need to change your actions until you can.
@Justin - so are you suggesting that I go with the "pay employees as you use them" rule, instead of the rules as written? Because my point is that, as written, it's possible to use employee actions and then not be able to pay wages at the end of the round. Which means you've "cheated," but the rules don't handle that case. Maybe it's poor play, but it's possible to do.
@Gus - if you have $10 at the start of a round you won't be recruiting anyone new. From the cards I saw in my playthrough, nobody was that expensive to pay for an action, but I get your point.
Don't forget, you can sell research cubes for $10, and one of those will go a long way to paying for your workforce to do actions.
You can also sell ore from your stockpile. You don't get much money for it, but you are guaranteed a victory point.
So there ARE ways to get money during a round before the ships that have minimum ore will depart.
You also get an advance payment when you negotiate a contract too.
@redrob my status says collected but i havent got the game nothing has been shipped to my house by ups and i got no shipping notice. I hope this is just a mistake and it hasnt been shipped yet.
I haven't received any notice that my game has shipped. Can someone check and see what status is? It's been 2 weeks - I understand not getting the package yet, but I was expecting to receive a shipping notice.
In an unrelated note: in several places "lose" is spelled "loose" in the rulebook. It's too late to do anything about that now, but something to consider if there's ever a reprint.
I just unpacked my copy and walked through a basic turn. Two basic questions leap out at me:
How do you mark that an employee on an asteroid base has performed an action? For everyone else, if their marker is off their card, they're done. For an employee at a base, their marker is at a base, but they still have an action available. Tentatively I'm thinking I'd flip the marker, but as the rules are written it's not tracked.
What happens if you don't have enough money to pay employees at the end of your turn? "You can't take an action unless you're paid at the end of the turn" really doesn't work, because you can start with enough money to pay everyone, and end without it.
Simplest, trivial example: You start with $10. This is enough to pay everyone. You take an employee action that costs $10, like building a base, and don't take any actions to generate more income. You're broke, and none of your employees can be paid, but at least one has already taken an action.
The obvious solution is to require that employees get paid as they take actions, _before_ they take an action, but that's not how it's written. Though one problem with this rule is that if you're ever broke, the game is over for you, since you can't take an action to get more money.
Did everyone in USA get the package from ups? cause I have nothing coming from ups when I login for my acct. for my address.
Did anyone that got one get any notification?
@Ross emailed them 2 days ago, haven't heard anything back yet. Hopefully soon.
@adrian @Jonathan Dixon, same situation with me. I raised a request with Games Quest yesterday and hopefully they'll get back to me soon.
Received a shipping notification on the 26th of Oct. Still no sign of the package :-( I'm in Ireland so starting to think something might have went wrong with the package on route.
Well, guess what showed up in New Jersey...
This was actually one of the first few projects I backed here; I'm glad to see it has survived the bumpy ride to reality, and I'm looking forward to giving it a spin in the near future.
So...what's up next for you guys?
@Jake Waltier: Thanks for letting us know Jake!
@Paul P: Thanks Paul. We hope you enjoy playing as much as we do too!
Received in Ohio. The box looks in good shape. Thanks for making this game.
Received in Brooklyn, NY. Excited to try it out!
