Progress Status Update

Last status update I gave was just two days ago. But if you would like I can make them more frequent... Last count I got was a little over 1500 completed with Quality Control and Assurance.

They estimate mind you this is factory estimation not mine April 20th, 2013 for completion of production and Quality Control and Assurance then shipping to USA that same day. As for when they will arrive in the USA and how long it will take to flash them is a guess I can't make.

You have to keep in mind funds from KS were not in my hands till Feb 16th, 2013 which was while Chinese New year was in full swing in China by the time they got back it was the 23rd of Feb and factory didn't spin up with production til 25th of Feb 2013. So only a little over a month has passed since production was put into motion.

Thanks for the update Justin...I imagine keeping up with this as well as keeping track of the huge project is a bit overwhelming and every communication is much appreciated. I for one, have pledged many projects and honestly about 90% experience some delay, and none honestly are on the scale that I see this so hang in there and a slight delay is fine by me! Best of luck and hope you are able to get some rest :-)

Nice that you thought about a european reseller :D I also can't wait to have my GCW Zero but I appreciate that you keep posting updates. I was very disappointed with the update frequency of another Kickstarter project which was delayed for several month with monthly updates :/

The consoles will not be shipped without Firmware as this will be used for our final QA/QC once they hit here in the states.

One it will verify that the consoles function and is able to be flashed.

Two we can run control tests after flashing each console to verify they work etc.

We will also test each function that is complete to verify. I have a team of 14 strong to achieve this and it takes right at about 2 to 3 minutes a console for this process so 15 people will be flashing the consoles.

The worst thing I can imagine is after this long wait is for a console to arrive at your door and be DOA or some function not work.

I'm working on shipping all in bulk to one reseller which will get the whole of Europe in a couple days

Appreciate the update! Do you expect non-US backers to have much of a delay after the US ones are shipped? I hope QAQC goes smoothly

Thanks Justin for the update. I think every news is good news (at least for us), because we can follow the project progress.
      Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the updates! More the better.

I'd like to add that I'm glad people on this kickstarter project understand that kickstarter is not a shopping store where you're buying a product and are entitled to prompt delivery. Too often are kickstarters riddled with negative comments about delays and such. You pledged money to help finance a project startup, not order something on Amazon :)
