Mr. Rhee: Surviving the Nightmare World (Canceled)
A one versus many non-collectable card game where the villains have individual win conditions that the one hero must defend against.
Mr. Rhee: Surviving Nightmare World is a self-contained card game in which players assume the antagonistic roles of Heroes and Villains. Up to 5 players will choose a Villain, each with their own diabolical scheme. One player will take on the role of the Heroes, whose goal is to keep the Villains from achieving their nefarious plans for the 3 days and nights! Beware though; some Heroes have vices of their own that can be exploited by Villains!
Mr. Rhee: Surviving the Nightmare World is 3-6 player "one vs many" card game, where "the one" plays the heroes, and "the many" are the villains.
As a Villain, spend Greed to recruit and deploy your Minions to various Locations across the Nightmare World, or leverage your character specific win conditions to claim victory.
Your job as the Hero is to survive for six rounds - the Three Days and Three Nights of Darkness that have fallen across Earth, making it a Nightmare World. Gather Fight, Magic, and Charisma to utilize your team’s unique abilities in order to mitigate damage across the city… and set the Villains at each other’s throats.
Wickedly fun, this game plays in about 30 minutes. Will you take over the Nightmare World, or just survive it?

With 12 successful Kickstarters under our belt, we have learned a lot about what it takes to get our games into your hands. One of the biggest things is how variable the cost of shipping can be. As such, we will be charging shipping after this Kickstarter concludes, according to the actual costs incurred to ship to your area. We will do this through Backerkit’s post-campaign pledge manager.
There are two reasons we do this. First, it allows us to provide a lower rate on the actual pledge levels and structure a much tighter budget for the campaign and stretch goals since we do not have to estimate for shipping costs. Second, the funds raised for the project are 100% for the actual project itself rather than being partially inflated by shipping costs that may not be accurate.
Here are the averages for just the game (either CORE or COLLECTOR)
- USA: Average of $10 to most states.
- CANADA: Average of $13 to most cities.
- EUROPE: Average of $15 to most countries.
- OCEANIA: Average of $15 to Australia. Average of $17 to New Zealand.
- Rest of World: Average of $30 to most countries.
Note that the above prices are all import/customs friendly, except for “World.” These numbers are based on regional averages, and are subject to change. These are only estimates and they may increase or decrease based on the quantity of stretch goals we unlock, final box size and weight, and also the current postal prices at the time of shipping.
In the graphic novel series NIGHTMARE WORLD we learn that eons ago, an Archangel named Lucifer, incensed with what he saw as a tyrannical reign over all Creation by God, organized coup that he hoped would allow him to seize control of Earth and all that God created.
As a result, Lucifer and the Angels who followed him were banished to the bowels of the Earth as punishment, forever banned from Heaven and Earth. Realizing that the numbers were on his side, Lucifer has since spent ages organizing a plan for revenge – this time relying not just on the Fallen Angels, but also recruiting Lilith and her countless demon spawn, Cthulhu and the Great Old Ones, and other creatures and entities driven into hiding or exile by the reign of God and humanity. Rallying these combined factions into one concentrated force, Lucifer has now begun a full-press assault on Earth in a second attempt to wrest control of Creation from God in a long-prophesied campaign of monstrous terror known as “The Three Days of Darkness.”
In the spin-off/sequel graphic novel series TALES OF MR. RHEE we learn that humanity is not without its defenses against the forces of darkness, including the street-fighting magician Mr. Rhee as well as a covert cabal of magicians known as The P.R.O.M.I.S.E. Group that is dedicated to “The Permanent Reduction of Monsters in Society Everywhere.” When “The Three Days of Darkness” erupts across the world, Mr. Rhee, The P.R.O.M.I.S.E. Group, and even a few of Lilith’s demonic children who believe there’s a way to co-exist peacefully among Creation’s current inhabitants all emerge from the shadows to join forces to engage in a fight they know they may not be able to win. However, as Heroes, they are nonetheless willing to sacrifice everything to make sure the Villains won’t win either.

As with any project produced overseas, there can be unforeseen production delays, shipping delays, and customs delays. We've learned all about (and experienced) delays and ways to manage or avoid them. We know that some delays can’t be predicted or avoided, so we do our best to plan extra room in our schedule.
