Honestly, I think there needs to be a video talking about how the game will play and all the stuff in it. I'm only backing this project because Supreme Commander 1 and Demigod are some of my favorite games of all time. I do not really understand what Wildman is or how it will play. Or if there are mythical creatures or if it will be more realistic. Personally I think adding some mythical creatures would be awesome. So my suggestion is to put out a video that really explains what Wildman is and how awesome it will be.
I honestly think people need to stop promising Steam. We're past the age where smaller companies can just get on Steam. Now it's the redundant Greenlight process. GPG would probably be able to do it since they are a pretty big name on Steam, but people in general need to stop promising Steam.

PS: I suggest to see if it's possible to add certain units, or skills, or items for free download every month or so after the game is out, just like Cavedog did During Battle Tactics and all. Rembering the Flea and many more units ( That was some real nice deal to hand over freebees in the old times! ) ;

Steam + Steam Workshop for the win please guys. The way to keep a community active and vibrant is to interact with it and allow ease of finding/maintaining mods.

Ok, I can see how one could say it has MOBA components - but that indeed implies multiplayer online. I'd call it ARPG and RTS hybrid, perhaps. That would avoid the online multiplayer expectations.
@Treatise I think the first news stories about Wildman described the game as a mix of RPG, MOBA and RTS (whether rightly or wrongly).
The MOBA part of the description initially put me off this - I tend to associate MOBA with online only, PvP and hostile communities (that's my perception, may or may not be right). Wasn't until I did some more reading on the game proposal that I saw that it wasn't actually MOBA at all. Think GPG might need to do a little work to communicate this better to prospective backers.
Will the $125 level include the $85 benefits as well? I recognize when adding a new tier the other tiers may not be updated, so just wanted clarification. Thanks!

WILDMAN IS NOT A MOBA. Where do people even get the idea?
Alright Chris Taylor. You have effectively shamed me into supporting this game:) I like Gas Powered, even though I am not a big PC gamer (when I get a better machine later, maybe I'll change my tune), so I want to support your studio. But I probably won't ever play Wildman. I know I hate MOBAs, and PC-style clicky hack-n-slash "RPGs" like Diablo, so I really don't see much here for me. But I do hope Gas Powered pulls this out and stays in business.
Agree with Fukuy, if you really wanna be serious about letting players create and distribute mods and other content Steam Workshop is the best option in every aspect.
And a good idea for increasing the exposure of Wildman would be to make 2-3 videos or updates a week saying "Today i / we worked on: ..." so people get a general notion of what you are working on and which direction the game is taking, this will also greatly increase the fanbases ability to give you input and feedback.
PLEASE embrace STEAM Workshop in order to make easy to find and install MODs, skins and new maps.
Just leaving a message of support. Im trying to get all my friends to donate. I REALLY hope you guys make the 1.1M. I love your games (all of them, even Sup Com 2) and will support you as best as I can.
What I've seen other successful game KS projects do is to provide an update or two every week, with concept art (always really popular), description of game play mechanics, REASONABLE ideas for features, and hints of stretch goals. Pick up the pace of updates in the last week or two.
Beg, whore, and call in favors to get media coverage; it is key to get the word out in addition to word of mouth (I trust everyone has told their friends; I sure did).
Introduce add-on pledges (eg. +$10 for soundtrack) for those who don't want to go to a higher-tier pledge just to get one item included in that tier, and to add more granularity for us so everybody can pledge as much as they can afford.
Introduce stretch goals several days before campaign ends, no matter how well/badly funding is going. I'm always a bit wary of adding other platforms as stretch goals. Those playing, say, PC, will not see any benefit if a stretch goal is Mac, so are unlikely to up their pledge. It makes more sense to have stretch goals which benefit the people who are already backers, and/or everyone who backs or buys the game. So added bosses, dungeons, and other in-game features would be best.

Being in at $125 myself, and staring at the $85 reward, I have to wonder if there's any way to get the VIP Forum stuff in addition to a nice boxed collector's edition...!

It was this project that finally got me to join Kickstarter - I do hope that it's a success. I can't say I'm keen on the RTS side here, but, looking back at all the fun Dungeon Siege gave me, I'd hate it if Gas Powered Games vanished.

Anyway, good job on pulling through. I am pretty sure you will make it, just keep the updates going.
Maybe you should do a quick group video showing all the people you currently have left for voluntary work and have them give a heads-up about what they are currently doing.
@Sean Jordan: Exactly, the project is well on track and the trend is really encouraging even if it seems a little close at the moment. Just remember the hell that Republique had to go through before succeeding in the end (Kicktraq graph here: http://tinyurl.com/6nu8trr).
Just keep the updates going, do a video Q&A towards the end, have a livestream Kickstarter party for the final hours. I know it's a lot of work, especially if you only have a few people remaining, but it definitely is worth it.

Sounds good, you have my vote. Even if it all ends up going titsup I am more then willing to throw money at you so you can make the attempt. But I think the recent status updates and decisions give an indication of someone who will be able to see this through to the end.
I know it's just my personal opinion, but I think this game sounds great... and at this point, it's nice to see that some 5,000+ people (all of whom have their own personal opinions) have the good sense to agree. I'd hate to have to start cracking skulls before the game is ready! :D Looking forward to learning more about Wildman & seeing how big a tribe this KS can pull together.

Originally I had 0% interest in the game from a gameplay point of view. Loved the visuals and theme, but MOBA games aren't for me... When I heard GPG was in trouble I decided screw it, they need as much help as any of the other games on Kickstarter deserve (if not more).
Ultimately everyone describing this as MOBA turned me off, but seeing gameplay got my interest, and now I'm totally down for Wildman and I truly hope it succeeds. I'm hopeful not just as a fan of GPG but also as an amateur developer myself working on my first game.
I hope I don't see one of my most cherished developers go away any time soon.

I believe a lot of people follow the project and then pledge at the very end. They're obviously too used to eBay! xD
Wow, 288k and still 24 days to go... Chris this is looking great... and don't get nervous... just check other KS which were successful and had a lower rate going and in the end it sky-rocketed..
Also, would it help to send emails to Square for SC3? I mean I read so much about GPG and all the background and all that, I wish I knew earlier. :)
Keep up the good work and I am glad you will soon explain the gameplay of Wildman in more detail, cause this is what a few friends of mine need more to know... what exactly will Wildman be, what exactly is that RTS part... also, I heard a few times there will be different eras timezones, epoches... this is something I find very interesting, I love Empire Earth for example. So if you could go more into detail about that in future updates? :)
Chris, I am so glad you guys are going to keep this going. Don't get discouraged - we're nearly a third of the way there and so long as you guys keep pumping away at this campaign, it WILL fund successfully!
I've been a part of many game-related kickstarters (as a backer) now, and I've noticed that those that immediately catch fire tend to be the ones that are providing direct sequels (or spiritual successors) to well-loved games. Those that introduce a new IP really have to establish themselves the way any new IP does, and the teams have to work a lot harder to earn the goodwill of the gamers who are understandably skeptical.
Some I've been a part of that have really struggled until the end have been Leisure Suit Larry, SpaceVenture, Jane Jensen's Moebius and Shadowrun Online. But all of these did fund because the creators really kept at it and kept providing more and more incentives for people to get involved. What's more, they really engaged the community to keep things moving along!
You guys are awesome and you're sincere. Kickstarter is one of the places where people respect that. If anything, I think you guys need to do a better job of talking about how great you are. One thing that no one questioned during the Planetary Annihilation campaign was how good the team was. I'm surprised people are questioning that now given that Chris Taylor's name (along with Gas Powered Games) is in the forefront. But you guys could really stand to trumpet your successes and talk up your expertise a bit more in the coming week!
Keep up the hard work. It's going to be a busy month for you, but put your faith in your fans... and we'll put our faith in you to deliver a great Wildman game!
