NO SLEEP ‘TIL BROOKLYN
No Sleep ‘Til Brooklyn? Well not Brooklyn, but Los Angeles, beginning April 10th. Let there be rock! It’s been completely funded! Together we’re making a damn record. The record I’ve always wanted to make.
I don’t know how to thank you all for such generosity and love. Only thing I can think of is to say thank you and to make the best damn record we can.
We’ll be recording in two parts. Beginning early April and returning again in late April. The record will be done at Unison Studios with Bruce Witkin. I filled you in about Bruce in an earlier update; I’m working out the details with a great drummer, another old friend. All around guitar guy, close friend and Circus of Power partner, Ricky Mahler, will be around for support and maybe with some coaxing I can get him to join me on some things. I’m leaving some room for the unknown, the best part for me, surprises. Sometimes you imagine a tune one way and it turns upside down, there’s always room to experiment and of course rock when needed. We’re gonna tackle 4 to 6 songs first, give things some time to breathe, then come back a couple of weeks later to do the remaining songs.
Along the way I’ll be sending plenty of updates and videos of the recording sessions and our progress. Still to be decided is the exact set list but we’re getting close.
I haven’t been able to reach out to everyone individually yet to thank you, but will try to soon.
There are still a few hours left and plenty to do.
Talk to ya soon,
