In addition to thanking you on our Facebook page, we will send (via email) a high resolution still photo of your choice from the documentary shoot. Photo choices will be shared via "project updates" throughout the duration of the campaign, so keep your eyes peeled!
As a thank you for your contribution, you will receive recognition on our facebook page, a photo from the film, and an mp3 file of the theme song "Usila," composed and performed by Elisema Gachupin Velasco in her native dialect, Chinanteco de Usila. This original composition is a collaboration between Elisema and Berlin based composer Miguel Caroli. The ethereal melody will lift your spirits and transport you on waves of inspiration. At this level you will receive the rewards listed above, plus an electronic version of the official poster from The Path of Stone Soup documentary, designed by Puerto Rican film producer Vilma Liella of Best Picture System.
In a show of our gratitude for your support at this level, we will send you the rewards outlined above, PLUS a jicara (dried gourd) and a stone used to make and serve stone soup. These are unique and lovely mementos of the Chinantec community loaded with organic energy!
We call this reward the "Foodie Special." In addition to receiving all of the wonderful incentives outlined above (minus the jicara and stone), you will be granted access to an exclusive online cooking tutorial hosted by Chef César Gachupin de Díos. Chef César will walk you through the preparation of a traditional Chinantec delicacy. Just imagine how impressed your friends will be at your next dinner party when you offer them an authentic Oaxacan dish that you prepared yourself!

One of the film's producers, Sarah Borealis, will prepare a delicious Mexican themed meal for you and and a guest in her New Orleans home. The evening will include food, drinks, live music, and a private screening of "The Path of Stone Soup." (Note: this dinner will be held in New Orleans. If you're out of town, you'll need to provide your own travel and accommodations). (In addition, you will receive all of the rewards detailed above.)
OPTION #2: OAXACA
The Gachupin family will welcome you and a guest in fine style at their Stone Soup family restaurant in Oaxaca, Mexico. You will dine on Chinantec delicacies, and have the unique pleasure of sharing food, drink, and conversation with members of a family determined to preserve their indigenous customs by sharing them with the world- including lucky you!
