Peak+Flow is a creation from a team of active, passionate and compassionate people.
We were searching for clothing that didn't make sacrifices on performance or our principles.
However, we found our only options were to buy from mainstream brands, who occasionally pay lip service to sustainability, or end up with hessian-based clothing from brands, who never considered performance a priority.
So we decided to do it ourselves.
The result is our first range of activewear essentials: 5 pieces of clothing for both women and men.
Our first essentials range focuses on clothing for a variety of active pursuits from yoga to surfing, and everything in between.
For us, sustainability isn't just about the selection of better materials and where we create the product, it's also about creating clothing that is built to last, cross-functional and reduces how much you need in your wardrobe.
Whether you're doing circuits in your local gym, climbing Yosemite or just moving your body, Peak+Flow clothing is going to perform and make you feel great.
Buying clothing from Peak+Flow on Kickstarter is easy. Simply select a tier with the clothing you want and pledge your support.
Remember unless we hit our target you won't be charged!
Most importantly, every single person who backs any of our tiers will join the very special Peak+Flow Kickstarter Founder Community.
This community will give you early access to new clothing, behind the scenes updates, community events, and a lifetime discount on everything we create in the future.
Each piece has been thoughtfully designed and tested with people who professionally have to live in their activewear all day, every day.
Fabric selection is critical for performance, but for us, it's even more significant as it has to meet our sustainability principles.
We've explored hundreds of fabrics to find the best, and we're proud that 83% of materials for our first range come from recycled sources. The main sources we use are recycled plastic bottles and ocean fishing nets.
For those pieces where we haven't been able to source 100% sustainable fabric - either because the material is still in development or simply because of our size - fear not, it's something we are are working tirelessly to improve.
Our commitment to you is that where ever you see a blended fabric used, it will never end up being single use. When you've finished with a piece of clothing, return it to us, and we'll hold on to it until the industry catches up and we can recycle it.
We're already having conversations with industry experts, such as the Founder and CEO of Worn Again, Cyndi Rhoades - whose company has been developing technology to recycle blended fabrics over the last decade. As soon as the technology is available, we will be the first to take advantage of it.
Everything we create is designed to cover as many body shapes and sizes as possible.
We hope we've covered everyone, but if we didn’t, and you can’t find something that works for you, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org
We want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to wear activewear, and we encourage everyone to care for their health and the health of the planet.
But it’s not up to us to decide who takes part - that’s up to you.

Everyone listed here is part-time but has played a major part in creating Peak+Flow.
Producing clothing which is better for the planet can't come at the expense of the people making them.
Finding a partner that could meet our quality and ethical standards has been one of the hardest things we have done on our journey. It's the main reason it has taken us as long to be comfortable launching on Kickstarter.
After many wrongs turn we found our perfect manufacturing partner in Sri Lanka - a country with a well established ethical garment industry.
We visited them and conducted our own audit at their factory in Kandy, Sri Lanka. They care deeply about quality and also about their people.
It was a perfect match.

What is left we spend on Shipping the product to you (unless you got in on our Free Shipping Rewards!), Paying our freelancers and marketing the product to the world.

Risks and challenges
We have already placed the order with our manufacturing partner in Sri Lanka, and they're ready to start production. If there is an issue with the partner, for example, they have to close down output for an unforeseen reason, or their production timing slips this could affect delivery time. Our partner offsets this risk by having multiple factories where production could be transferred and also by having contractually agreed slots in their production timetable.
We have incredibly high standards for all our products and have created hundreds of prototypes. If there are any issues with the quality of the product, it will delay shipping while our partner rectifies the issue. We offset this by having multiple quality control points during the manufacturing process, and by working with partners who produce for leading brands. We also have a Garment Technologist on the team who has put leading sportswear quality controls in place.
We are already 18 months into the development of our products, and we've invested over £20,000 of our own money. We have ambitions beyond Kickstarter and we hope based on the efforts of this page this is clearly on display. We are excited to get our product into your hands.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
