Backed. As I've already pointed out (on GG's site) it's a great idea. However quick question any chance of an Alpha sign up until Beta is ready?
Not as part of the initial funding goal but, as we state on the page, we'd like to do it in the future.
Thanks for your support!
Backed, there will never be enough easy-to-use game makers. This, coming from a developer.
I know, and you know, that his question is going to be asked a lot, but :
no android port?
I got a million of em! ;)
That was not in the current design, but that's a great idea, Bruce!
Thanks for the reply. :) Another Tower Defense question: Are we able to make towers that influence other towers? Like make them shoot faster, have better range, etc...
@Jay - Thanks!
@David - We definitely see huge potential in education. Thanks for the suggestion!
@Bruce - In the current prototype, you can make some cool adjustments to the enemy AI, but we have not added the features you mention...yet. They are already planned for the future, however. A Match 3 game type is actually one of the first templates we discussed, so I can definitely see that being added in the future. There are currently no plans to charge royalties on the games you make. We provide the content for you to do as you wish!
Thanks for the support, guys!
Sounds interesting, folks, but how much control do we have on things like enemy AI in a Tower Defense game, for example? Are we able to have enemies attack towers, if we want, or have some towers only attack certain enemy types?
How about a Match 3 game type?
Are there any restrictions for selling games we make, and would we owe you any portion of sales?
You should do an update about teaching game design basics using 3step (if you have any educational partners). Good luck!
I snuck in through the back door a while ago and grabbed a beta copy of 3 Step Studio -- so excited to see it on the way to becoming all grown up. :) I've tweeted about this Kickstarter and will continue to do that until it's funded.
