Meet TellyMount
TellyMount is a smartphone holder that positions your phone above a TV. It comes with a companion app (for iOS and Android) that can be used to video call on TV. Get your family on the couch and video chat with loved ones on the big-screen.
Setting Up TellyMount is Easy
Launch the TellyMount App for video calling on your smartphone.
Mirror your smartphone to your TV via Apple TV or Chromecast.
Insert your phone into TellyMount and tilt it to the perfect camera angle.
Big-Screen Video Calling is Better
See the difference when you video call on the big-screen instead of your smartphone. The entire family can video call together without crowding around a smaller screen. Sit back on your couch and enjoy the conversation, hands free, as if your friends and family are in the living room with you.
Unlike other video calling apps, the TellyMount App (for iOS and Android) is intended to be optimized specifically for video calling on TV. Among other things, the expected enhancements relate to TV audio output and camera zoom for your TellyMount experience. The Android app is intended to mirror via Chromecast. The iOS app is intended to mirror via Apple TV as well as Chromecast.
Video Call with Better Camera Angles
TellyMount centers your smartphone above the TV — the same place as built-in webcams on computers. TellyMount positions your phone to help provide eye-contact with your caller so that you’re talking to them instead of appearing to awkwardly gaze in a different direction.
Motion Gaming from Smartphone to TV
Kinect-like games in dance, sports, adventure, and fitness by third-party developers (not included with TellyMount) are available without the expensive hardware requirements of a 3D camera or dedicated console. Using just the camera in your phone, these mobile apps track your body movements in real time. Just mirror your phone to your TV, mount your phone to TellyMount, and let the games begin. Your phone will be conveniently placed to recognize your every move.
Additional Uses for TellyMount
Video calling on TV opens new dimensions for your living room. Have a yoga session in the privacy of your home. Take music lessons from an instructor on the other side of the country. See a doctor or therapist without the commute and waiting room. You can do all of these right now with third-party services, and we're doing our part to develop this ecosystem for TellyMount.
Not Your Typical Smartphone Holder
Other phone holders are not suitable for TVs. We’ve taken the time to study and overcome the nuances to offer the best experience in this category. To enhance camera angle and eye contact, TellyMount brings your phone as close to the TV bezel as possible without obstructing the TV screen. To ensure stability, TellyMount has a heavy steel weight in the tail to prevent the mount and your phone from shifting or tipping-over. We've designed TellyMount for function, stability and simplicity.
Adjustable Positioning
With TellyMount, you can tilt your phone in any direction or rotate your phone from portrait to landscape. You can even position your phone backwards to use the higher-quality back camera during video calls.
Designed to Fit All Phones
The holder expands to grip virtually all phones, with or without a case, including iPhones and Androids (like the Samsung Galaxy S and Note series and others by Samsung, LG, HTC, and Motorola). It's lined with a protective elastomer to enhance grip and prevent scratches to phones.
Designed to Fit All TVs
TellyMount’s flexible tail easily bends to brace against TVs and monitors of varying depths and shapes. An anti-slip elastomer further grips the TV and simultaneously prevents scratches on TV finishes. No screws, adhesives, suction cups, magnets, or other complicated, unstable, or damaging substances are used.
Every Little Detail Counts
You'll notice the obsessive attention to detail. You'll feel the phone holder has just the right amount of spring tension. You'll see that the colors and finish were deliberately selected to match your TV decor. Countless materials were considered for the flexible tail so that it would be sturdy yet easy to bend. You get the idea. While the design is distinctive, it's also clean and minimal. The only thing you notice when using TellyMount is your phone and TV.

Escrow Protection for Our Backers
After the successful conclusion of this campaign, we’ll place the funds raised from the campaign into escrow as a way to provide greater safeguards for you, our backers. Wilmington Trust, National Association, will serve as escrow agent. The escrow funds will be returned to GantryWorks after shipment of TellyMount begins. In the extraordinarily unlikely event that shipment of TellyMount to backers has not begun within a certain time, backers can opt to receive refund distributions from the escrow funds. There are further details, which we’ll provide before the end of the campaign. The arrangement is subject to the successful completion of the campaign and subject to change.

Software development, manufacturing and on-time delivery can be regarded as potential challenges to hardware production. The coordinated participation of multiple parties will be required, including, but not limited to, development teams, suppliers, contract manufacturers, and delivery service companies. While GantryWorks does not anticipate complications, unexpected issues have the potential to arise. GantryWorks intends to inform Kickstarter backers of any such issues in the event they arise.
