The doors are locked! The bets are in and the beer is cold! Monday Night Mecha is about to explode once more onto your screen and what a night we have lined up for you. With thousands being waged in this opening match the pressure is really on. Here we go folks... it’s GAME TIME!
Hundreds of years from now, the greatest sport the galaxy has ever known will explode on your screens as everyone watches their favorite teams of giant Mechs beating each other to scrap. Mechadrome is a "Mech Combat Gladiator Arena Skirmish Game" set in the far future where man and alien races have come together, forming teams that do battle in arenas set in abandoned, war-torn cities and industrial zones.
Mechadrome is simple, fast and fun, and the Mech models we hope to create with this Kickstarter campaign offer a wide variety of customization. The game may be played with 28mm scale models in "Colossal Arenas" or 15mm scale models in "Epic Arenas". All of our Mech models will be produced in both sizes!
(Note: The 15mm scale squads contain 2 bonus light mechs for a total of 4. You may select alternate weapons for those 2 bonus mechs if you wish.)
Mechadrome has been under construction for the last 2 years. If you are interested in trying the game out ahead of time, click here to download a PDF of the Preview Test Rules.
We have done all that we can developing the rules and producing the miniatures up until this point. Now, we need your help to continue. Our funding goal of $10,000 will allow us to finish production on all 4 squad sets, in both scales, for the first race in the game, the Terrans (or Humans, like you and me). After this goal is met, we have an ongoing list of stretch goals planned to unlock larger Mechs and whole new races like little Martian tripod mechs, sinister Bionic Mechs and the insectoid Aphid Mechs.
In addition to the squad sets we also will be offering a variety of plastic terrain sets and other add-on items that you can add to your pledge. What follows are menus listing all of the pledge items and add-on items, followed by stretch goals we hope to achieve if we meet and exceed our initial funding goal.
NOTE: To add on the add-on items you want to receive, click the blue "Manage Your Pledge" button at the top-right of the page. Increase your pledge amount to cover the extra items you want, then click "Continue to next step" to finalize your new total.
Thank you very much for your interest in our project. We've worked very hard to get to this point, now we need your help to make this dream a reality! If you have any questions, feel free to leave a message in the comments above!
Shipping & Fulfillment
We expect to ship our initial items to backers by the end of November 2014. This initial batch will include the Terran Light & Medium Mechs, the printed rulebook, plus the plastic terrain kits and resin bases. Each new model that we area able to unlock via stretch goals will be finished 1 month later than the last. So, the Bionic Light Mech will be ready in December, followed by the Bionic Medium Mech in January 2015, and so on. To be honest, these dates are actually quite far ahead of what we are planning for, but we are giving ourselves a couple of months of extra time in case anything unexpected happens to delay things.
After the campaign is over, we will send a Kickstarter survey to get an idea of how much we will need to produce to fill all rewards. Then, soon after, we will send a link to a Pledge Manager website where you can finalize your rewards, and even add new items if you wish. Your initial pledge amount plus any bonus credit will be treated like "store credit" in the pledge manager, which will function just like an online store. The pledge manager will calculate your shipping costs and add everything together for you.
All pledges of $100 or more will get free US shipping. The average $100 2-squad pledge will weigh roughly 2-3 pounds, and cost around $6-8 to ship. To accommodate backers in other countries where shipping can be quite expensive, we will be giving you a $10 "shipping credit" that will be added to your Pledge Manager account.

Risks and challenges
Mechadrome is not our first game. 2 years ago, we ran a successful campaign for our first game, Blackwater Gulch. There were several delays with that project and we learned a lot from our mistakes. Now that we know the miniature making process and the ups and downs, we are confident we can deliver the first sets of models by the end of November 2014. In fact, this date is much later than we expect, but we wanted to give ourselves extra time in case something comes up and hope to deliver much sooner.
Shipping prices are also an issue, especially for overseas backers, which is why we will be using Game Salute's ShipNaked service to reduce shipping costs and to store our final products in their warehouse so your rewards and later retail products can be shipped globally, effortlessly.
