50% + Combat Video + New Weekend Social Goal!
Yesterday was our best day yet! We blew past 50% funded and also past 100 backers! Kickstarter sent me an email suggesting I take you all out to pizza. While that sounds like fun, we probably need to focus on making a book instead :)
As promised, the first of several planned "How to Play" videos is below. This was filmed last weekend at Imaginarium, and thus the sound quality is not the best, but hopefully, you can get an idea of how things work. I plan on filming some more video at Oddmall this weekend, where I will be promoting and playing Purgatory House as well as serving as emcee and peddling my other books and games.
Lastly, to celebrate passing 50% funded, we are going to have another weekend "social" stretch goal. We are currently at 108 backers and I would like to see us hit 125 backers by the end of week 2 (which is Tuesday morning.)
Most of the optional rules in Purgatory House focus on making the game harder and the stakes higher. But there is also a segment of players who may want a less fatal game. A game they can play with their kids and maybe be a little bit goofy. In short, a "Scooby Doo" mode.
If we hit 125 backers by 10 am on 10/17, I will add a Scooby Doo scenario to the game to highlight the non-fatal, kid-friendly, mode of play. This mode may not be to everyone's taste, but I think it only serves to make the game better when you have more options and playable examples. This will also add 6 more pre-gen characters to the game that can be used in any scenario!
So tell your friends to jump onboard the Mystery Machine and check out this game!
