Have a question?
@Aybars Yurdun - Everything is grand! I will post a big update in the next few days.
Dear Robert hello; could you kindly update us about the latest situation ? thanks :)
It really is a great game. If you haven't checked out his other game, Are You Mental? its also a great no-prep game with light rules! I'll be running that at Acadecon in Dayton next weekend if any of you happen to be going.
Congratulations! It’s a shame that we didn’t get more stretch goals but we are going to get what looks to be a great game!
Damn, so close...
Congratulations on such a successful project. I look forward to the final product.
4 hours to go and less than $100 away from the 2nd stretch goal!
So happy to see that we have past the first stretch goal.
yes it does make more sense. thank you
@Michael - Survey Monkey actually ranks the results by points and percentages, taking those sorts of things into account.
@RobertE - I cleaned up the beta section on Jokers. I hope that is clearer, but I seem to have a cold today and my eyes are watering so bad that I don't really know if I made it worse or better.
So, will the vote results be determined with a simple majority at each rank, or will there be a point system based on the ranking of the votes?
I. E. If half of the votes ended up with Amusement Park at #1 and the other half had Amusement Park at #5, while everybody chose Space Station as their #2 slot, which would take that #1 slot?
Yay for the first stretch goal!
thank you. This sounds fun I'll see if I can get anyone interested in trying it out with me.
@RobertE - Yes, the beta rules on Jokers are vague as they have changed several times throughout the play-testing period. The group running a game this past weekend was familiar with how they worked so I only noted the changed in this version of the beta rules. There will be much more guidance and examples in the final book. You can totally play the playtest scenario without them but I will spend a little bit of time tonight adding some clarification for you and others.
@Everybody - We have passed the first stretch goal, but I want to give folks a few more hours to get home from work, check in with the updates, and vote on the unlocked addition before I name a winner.
So I've read the beta rules and I'm confused about how Jokers work. The section on them is vague. How do they appear and what exactly do they do?
My vote is for Post apocalyptic underground vault, Space station, Dungeon crawl, Amusement park, and Bermuda triangle cruise line. I chose that order because I think going sci-fi and then into fantasy would round out the available genres better.
Congratulations on reaching 200 backers!
>PH has broken the funding goal
>Get entirely too happy
I can't wait to play.
Congratulations on the funding! I’m incredibly excited for this game, and I know that my group is looking forward to it as well!
I've got a couple scenarios I've already made, so when you do get the forum up, I'll post them for everyone.
@Robert Turk: that sounds great!
@Everyone - Yaaaaaaaaaaaay! (Flailing dancing Kermit gif here)
@Boris - Right now, if we get 11 more backers, the book will have 8 starting scenarios and up to 48 pre-gen characters. That is a LOT, since you don't even need scenarios to play, they just help you jump right in and get going. Our first focus will be getting the game out the door. After that, I still want to make the travel brochures (though we do have time left to unlock them in this campaign.) We are also planning to add a forum to our website where players can post their own scenarios and campaigns. Beyond that... we will see!
@Robert Turk: that sounds great! I love the sound of all the scenarios and found it difficult to pick between them. Roll on 200 backers!
Do you anticipate additional scenarios being created after this campaign?
As of Sunday afternoon, our poll for the 200 backer scenario is pretty much tied three ways (I did not see that one coming...) So, if we hit our funding and at least 200 backers, I will add all three of the possible scenarios to the book! That way everybody is happy!
We're heading the right direction! I see stretch goals in this game's future!
Dear Robert hello
Is there a possibility to ship the book to Turkey at 30 dollar pledge? If so I would like to update my pledge asap.
We broke 7k! We can do this! Just 3 more days!
@Coen - Thank you! We seem to be hitting our stride again today and I am confident that if we keep it up, we will sail across the finish line. Tony Steele thinks we are headed for a movie finish... Seeing as how this is a horror game though, I don't know that we want that :)
I shared on Facebook, twitter and my clan. Hope we get it funded
That was a really tough choice! Georgian manner is so cool...but, Ghostbusters!
One of our artists (John Donald Carlucci) has offered up a challenge to help us reach our goal. If we fund, he will draw an original trading card of anything you want for any backer that pledged $100 or more to help get us there. You will have to like him on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/ArtistJDC/) and tell him that you backed this project, and then you get an awesome piece of original art from an amazing artist!
Cool poll in the update. Let's get those stretch goals! I'd like to see a book jam-packed with different settings for the game!
Five more daysssss! Good luck!
Another good interview! Nice work Mr. Turk!
Excellent! Let's see how much coverage we can get in the last week!
@Boris - We just made the front page news feed on www.kicktraq.com! Keep up the great work everybody! I am pushing the magic content buttons best I can on my end :)
Part 1 of the play through video is up on youtube!
Keep clicking the Kicktraq link! We've been kicked off the Hot List by a bag made for carrying dogs...
I agree! I think that this may end up being a classic game. I'm hoping that we get a big spike in the last few days and rake in the stretch goals. I love the idea that different settings have their own tables and therefore will be wildly different (and more thematic).
It really is a fun game, I like the fact that you can make it as serious or laid back as you want for the group you are playing with. The power of the imagination! Let's keep the momentum going! Comment, share, peer pressure, stare at people until they back it, do the "I'm not touching you" thing... make your friends need this!
@Charles - I am with you! That is why we are aiming for more money than most new indy RPGs. This game gets its claws in you and grows, so I think it will be around for a while. That's why I really wanted nice books with great art - even though that stuff is expensive!
For some reason, this project has really gotten in to my brain and I am really looking forward to see it succeed. I am guessing that it is going to, how could it not.
@Boris - We are #14 on Kicktraq's hot projects now! I bet we can hit the top 10! Keep it up folks! Big update coming tomorrow!
