You are a mad scientist with one goal... WORLD DOMINATION. There's only one problem, there are other mad scientists in your way. So, it's your mission to SMASH them in the face. To defeat the other mad scientists, you will create a gang of grunts using Gamma Juice, a radioactive goo. You'll also impede your opponents' efforts in your pursuit for Infamy. In this battle oriented deck builder, your grunts will help you smash your opponents' forces, destroying their cards, and bringing you closer to world domination. The first mad scientist to 20 Infamy wins the game.
Everyone starts with the same 15 cards consisting of 4 Discoveries, 5 Brutes, and 6 Gamma Juice cards. The Discoveries help you gain Infamy throughout the game or increase your resources, bringing you closer to winning. The Brutes are small grunts without abilities but they can initiate combat and help you smash other people's decks. Gamma Juice is the resource of the game that allows you to create grunts and play Disruptions to get in the way of other mad scientists.
There are also cards players can draft from to build up their decks. The cost varies from 1 to 4 and there will always be a revealed card of each cost players can draft in addition to a blind deck of each cost people can draft. Players also get to choose 2 cards to displace, either by removing them from the game or covering the displayed card. This action is what we refer to as draft chaos, which every player gets do for free on their turn. This enables you to create your own destiny by controlling which cards you get to draft while influencing the fate of others as well.
In Gamma Grunts your deck is your life. This is the most important part of the game. So, when you damage a player, they are forced to smash cards from their hand or deck. Each card you smash brings them closer to losing the game. Knowing when to build up your deck and knowing when to battle others is a constant struggle. Be careful not to find yourself unable to draw because if you do, you go completely INSANE and you lose all of your Infamy. You're not out of the game but you sure do have a rough trek ahead.
As mentioned above, there are three types of cards. Here we'll talk about about them and show you what they look like.
When you draft cards, you're basically getting the materials you need to do mischievous, mad scientist things. You still need to add your radioactive goo to your mixture to make things happen. That's where Gamma Juice comes into play, you send it to the lab for processing to play cards. In addition to using it to play cards, you also use Gamma Juice to shuffle the cards from your Recycle Bin into your deck. You'll have Gamma Juice in your starting deck but be mindful of how much you have since it is a limited resource. There is extra Gamma Juice that you're able to get but only with specific cards. (see, "Discovery" below in "Disruptions" section)
Grunts are one of the types of cards you can draft. Your grunts are your most prized possessions. They do your bidding and help in your lab, but the majority of them are really great at fighting. After all, you created them to smash your foes. Every grunt is indicated by the green liquid.
Disruptions are the other type of card you can draft. As a mad scientist with lots of competition, it behooves you to try to mess with the other mad scientists who pose a threat. That's where Disruptions come into play. Disruptions are indicated by the orange liquid and lightning bolts. They can be played on any player's turn and their action on the card happens immediately.

You support a project on Kickstarter by committing an amount towards a project in exchange for a company's product. This makes you a backer. When you do this, you know ahead of time what you’re going to get with your money.
Depending on what you want, you need to pick a pledge level that works for you. Look through the options and once you've decided, click the green link that says, "Back this project" at the top of the page next to the video. Then follow the steps selecting the correct shipping option for you.
When you back a project, your credit card will only be charged at the end of the campaign on Sept 13 and only if we hit our goal of $10,000. Whether you back our project for $1, order the print and play reward for $5, or get the reward where we come to you for $3,000, it all helps. Only with your support can we make Gamma Grunts a reality.
Risks and challenges
We realize we will have a few challenges to ensure we reach our intended production and shipping dates, but we’re working hard to get everything completed as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. First off, our goal is set to pay for the remainder of the art for the game since we have about half of it completed. Second, we need to pay for the actual manufacturing of the product. We set the campaign to be reachable, reasonable, and hit our goal but we would like to go further so we don't just break even. If all of you truly surprise us and blow our campaign into the stratosphere by SMASHING our goal we may have to adjust some dates on final delivery. That being said, if you back us, we are going to deliver this game because we’re so excited to bring it to you. We've been researching multiple manufacturing, freight forwarding, and fulfillment options that fit best for Gamma Grunts. We don’t want this to be a campaign where you spend the next two years getting fifty emails about production updates and delays so we've worked hard to prevent that. If you back this project and we're successful, we will make sure you and your fellow mad scientists can start SMASHING each other for WORLD DOMINATION as soon as possible.
We also recognize there is a risk of a real mad scientist being motivated to conquer the world because of this game, destroying us and everything else in the process. (Gamma Grunts and HipLein Industries cannot be held liable for any real mad scientists in their pursuit for world domination.)
There are also some vagaries in terms of timing when it comes to anything produced in China, such as production delays, shipping delays and customs delays we cannot foresee. We have attempted to include this in our time estimate for the final product.
