Ballistic's Report for 2018
In case y'all don't follow my blog. Last night I published my 2018 year in review, which I naturally call my Ballistic's Report.
It's modeled after the very useful Stakeholder's Reports published by Steve Jackson Games.
In any case: while you can't tease it out from what I published, from an RPG-alone perspective (just what went into identifed RPG projects) I was actually maybe $500 in the black for the year. Overall I lost just over $6,000 . . . but that was a vast improvement over the $20,000 loss from the prior year.
From a revenue perspective, it was amazing. Over a five-fold increase, to over $41,000.
And thanks to you guys, 2019 is shaping up to be even better. My goals are to surpass my revenue from last year and bring costs under tighter control by streamlining my investment decisions and not over-producing books (the extra 500 seemed good from a marginal cost position, but the extra inventory will take a long, long time to burn through).
In any case, if last year the watch-word was revenue, this one will be profitable product. I've got something like 15 books in queue for 2019 alone.
