Day 2 and Cover Template

Morning!

We continue to chug along, and the second day of the campaign ended at about $5,600. That allows us to start looking at projections, and play the game of "where will we end up."

What? Nah. I'm not going to speculate out loud. That ruins the game.

Regardless: I've started contacting artists to see about availability for finishing the project, and I've created a template that features a bright yellow "your art goes here" space that led my wife to ask me to change the runic under the title from "TORNGR SAGA" to "FOR DUMMIES."

So the cover is in 8x10" format, and the spine is currently thick enough to support a nicely thick book if (when!) we hit stretch goals. Is the cover set in stone? Definitely not. I may yet move the title around and change the size, to ensure that the art - whatever it is - is properly displayed. The coloration is going to be adjusted to ensure that it stands out against the art palette too.

I've got a few ideas for what the cover will be, and as soon as I get a sketch worth showing, I'll post it here.

As we head into the weekend, I hope you find a bit of time to visit your local game stores and remind them of the exiting times coming up for the Dungeon Fantasy RPG: The box set reprint, Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 2, and of course . . . The Citadel at Norðvorn and Hall of Judgment. It's a great time to see the product line flourish, and the better these campaigns do, the more we can push for more impressive support in the future!

Until later, then!

Of the cover? Well, it's not final - at all. I just pasted the picture I used with the KS banner image into the "text box" on the left side of the cover to give the artist a visual reference. I've got a few other ideas too, depending on what happens with a few visualizations that I have going on! The more the project funds, the more I can revisit my simple work on layout and graphic design and replace it with unique elements!

FWIW, I like the mock-up that was more orange than pink.
