The Games of Future’s Past is a coffee table-style hardcover book filled with amazing photos of board game artwork where a single flip of the page is sure to bring smiles to your face.  All these board games are from my personal collection and hope this is the first book of volumes to come. One of the unique aspects of this book is the focus on the parts and pieces of the games themselves along with the way a majority of games focused on a timeline of events both past and present.  This book will be a great addition to the hands of any collector, enthusiast, or household to begin the adventure of the board game hobby.

1960 "Undercover, The Game of Secret Agents", by Cadaco-Ellis. By ground or by air, in this rare game of "operation teamwork" secret agents map their escape routes through enemy territory.

As both a collector and enthusiast, I am inspired to share my knowledge of vintage games in hopes to ignite a new passion in others to not just play board games but to add an exciting hobby their whole family can enjoy.  Vintage board games had a variety of topics that not only were fun to play but also taught other about history and current events. This book will show board games mainly from the 1950’s to 1980 with themes such as: military, pop culture, cartoon, political themes and just plain fun.

1977 "Flash Gordon, Adventures on the Moons of Mongo" game board King Features Syndicate Inc. Made in Canada by Waddingtons House of Games. "Flash Gordon" was first a comic strip produced by Alex Raymond in 1934!

I am always inspired how people gravitate toward these amazing games. Both kids and adults love looking at them and talking about them. I am wanting to bring a book to people who have little knowledge on the board game hobby, but have wonderful memories about the themes they grew up around!  I believe this book will add ideas for new adventures and introduce people to the world of tabletop board games but also the world of collecting and enjoying it as a family.  I have found that many  love looking at these games to spot their profession.  Whether you are a first responder, teacher, veterinarian, military, animal lover, stock broker or most any other field of interest, you are sure to find a theme to make you smile.

1961 "Top Cop" by Cadaco-Ellis. A fast action adventure while cops patrol the city in an effort to capture 9 criminals on the "WANTED" list!

I believe this book will be a  stepping stone to bring families back together around the table. To unplug a little more  and either get out and hunt for one of these amazing games, visit their local game store or just start the enjoyment of collecting.  This book will be written in a way that everyone can read, enjoy and learn something new.  You can be brand new to the board game hobby and still enjoy the themes presented and the gorgeous artwork that each game offers.

This is NOT just another picture book.  As pages are turned, the reader will learn about starting their own collection, internet finds vs. treasure hunting, where and how to start, best storage considerations and basic do’s and don’ts.  This is just a few of the many topics that will be addressed.  Board game artwork will not be the only thing showcased! Parts and pieces will also be included and are a very important component to the collection and hobby process.  To add a little more fun, we will have random game pieces throughout the books pages and information on them.  This way you can test your knowledge in the matching game presented on the last few pages of the book.  This book is not only meant for your household coffee table!  It will also make an excellent gift to friends, family, and co-workers.

Learn about game pieces and test your knowledge in a matching game to help each piece find their way home!

Since, I  cannot list every great game of the past in a single book and still keep it affordable,  I have carefully chosen themes and topics that I believe everyone will find something that will spark a memory and bring enthusiasm into this colorful world of board games.
