About this project
The Great Snowball Battle is a card game for 2-4 players. Every kid has a unique talent that gives them an edge. Want to be cagey? Ambidextrous? Or just be the kid who everyone thinks is a little strange. Throw a snowball or run for cover. Get hit, lose winter gear. No gear left? Then Mom calls you into the house. (Loser.)
Of course, there are also snowplows and slushballs, grouchy neighbors and a girl next door. Use your little brother as a shield. Block snowballs with the trashcan lid. Zoom from cover to cover with sleds. Use the snow shovel like a catapult.
All this before dinnertime!
Everyone chooses a kid card (each has a special ability) and three pieces of gear.
Separate, shuffle, and stack the locations cards, item cards, and snowball cards and place them in the middle. Everyone draws a location card and an item card, then draws 2 snowball cards.
You're ready to go! Whoever is at the location with the lowest cover number goes first. On your turn, you throw a snowball at another player, or clear out and draw a new location.
Snowballs are numbered 1-8. When the total of the snowballs thrown at a player equal or exceed the location cover number, the player is hit (POW!) and loses a piece of gear. Lose all your gear and you're out of the game.
When you're close to being hit, you better clear out. Discard the snowballs thrown at you, the location, and the item, and draw a new location and item.
The snowball deck also contains Events and Quickshots. The Events change the game rules temporarily. The Quickshots are numbered 1-8, and can be thrown in response to snowballs to hit other players.

Shipping is expensive. We've calculated the cost to ship this game to backers around the world and we're subsidizing that to help keep your costs down. The cost to ship this game to backers in the USA is $5.15. Game Salute is covering $5.15 of the shipping cost for ALL backers around the world. That means that the pledge level for US backers includes shipping. For international backers, we're passing along the same savings on shipping. Simply check the chart below, find your destination group, then follow the line to see you total pledge amount.
To keep the shipping costs as low as possible, we ship packages via a variety of shipping services depending on your specific location. We use USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL. You will be responsible for any import fees, brokerage or delivery surcharges, or applicable taxes that may be levied after we have shipped your package.
Let us know when you pledge at a retailer level and we'll list your store here to encourage local backers to choose in-store delivery through Game Salute Local Support, earning you the full margin on those games, too, just as if you had sold them yourself.
We are pleased to offer access to our game designers and creative team for podcast, blog, newspaper, or television interviews. Team members can also be present for conventions and event appearances with a timely invitation and appropriate travel and lodging expense allowances. Risks and challenges
As we enter the crowdfunding phase, the game is looking good. Certain stretch goals will require additional art if we fund at those levels, so we have set an extended delivery date to be on the safe side. Every game project is subject to potential production delays, but we believe we've allowed enough wiggle-room for The Great Snowball Battle. The final challenge is getting the game and rewards out to the backers. Game Salute is well versed in Kickstarter reward fulfillment and we are prepared to meet this challenge for The Great Snowball Battle.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
