Nothing Personal is a masterpiece of design where betrayal is the order of the day and having power over the right people is vital if you're to seize control. Even if you happen to have influence over the Capo, it doesn't necessarily mean that you'll end up the winner. It's all about making the best plans and stabbing your friends in the back. Don't worry though, because after all, it's Nothing Personal. The clue's in the name.
This campaign is to raise funds for the expansions, which are estimated to be delivered by October 2015. The reason for this? Well, they need art. A LOT of art, and art is expensive! However, if we get the expansions in our hands before that time, we'll send them out as soon as we receive them. After all, we want YOU to play with them!
You'll also notice that you're able to get your pledges in that include copies of the second edition of the game. These will be sent out in Fall 2014, so you'll be able to get playing as soon as possible! The expansions will follow in 2015, shipped at our expense.
And now we're delighted to present a whole new bunch of reprobates and 'respectable' people in these latest expansions! Power & Influence and Associates bring a whole new selection of gangsters to play with, as well as introducing new rules that can be added to the base game!
In the original Nothing Personal, players use their mob family's influence to control gangsters and move them into positions of power. They look to hold the most influence over these gangsters and use them to increase their respect. Over the course of five turns, players will play influence cards as they fight for control over the gangsters. As well as gaining respect for the controlling player, they also bring in money which can be used to further your family's goals. Some gangsters have special abilities that can be used but your main focus will be on using the powers associated with gangsters' positions of power.
However, players must be careful as it's easy to attract the attention of the Feds; gangsters could end up in prison - or worse. When the game comes to an end, the player whose family has gathered the most respect is the winner of the game! It's a game that allows players to make deals - but not necessarily follow through on them. It's a game of negotiation and backstabbing. One thing to understand... this is no co-op game!
Nothing Personal - Power & Influence adds a raft of new gangsters for you and your fellow players to bring into the game. New abilities. New characters. New ways to fight your way to the top of the tree.
The Associates expansion will add even more options to your Nothing Personal gang, meaning that no two games will ever be the same. Just make sure you don’t catch the eye of the Feds!

Shipping is expensive. We've calculated the cost to ship this game to backers around the world and we're subsidizing that to help keep your costs down. The cost to ship this game to backers in the USA is $9.01 for the Expansions and $16.47 for the Expansions and the 2nd printing of Nothing Personal. Game Salute is covering $9.01 and $16.47 respectively of the shipping cost for ALL backers around the world.

Risks and challenges
Game Salute has successfully managed over fifty of our own tabletop game projects and helped other companies deliver hundreds more, and we know from our experience that not every campaign runs like clockwork. There are always potential bumps in the road that can slow down the project and cause issues.
We work with third-parties from all around the globe, independent game designers and developers, artists and graphic designers, printers and manufacturers, postal services and shipping companies, freight forwarders and customs agents, and in each of those individual operations there exists the potential for delays. We inform our backers about every milestone that we achieve during this process. You can expect regular updates about every fortnight, even if it's just us letting you know that we're still alive and working on this project.
We love your comments and feedback. Know that we read all the comments and suggestions, though we can't reply to all of them individually. We'll provide any changes inspired by your feedback in our updates. If you've got a question or comment, whether it's in person, by phone, via email, or on this project page, we appreciate it.
Your pledge in this campaign is going towards funding the first editions of these expansions. Even with multiple edits and continual proofing, there may be minor typos, grammatical errors, or other elements that don't impact game play. If you’re the kind of person whose enjoyment of the game will be negatively impacted by these sorts of imperfections, please do not pledge toward this campaign. We’ll work consistently hard to ensure that everything in that final package is as good as promised, but we’re human, just like you. We treat everyone we come into contact with as respectfully as possible and don't think it's too much to ask for that to be a two way street. Errors can happen. For those of us who can handle that concept without pulling a Veruca Salt, we'll have a grand time making something awesome!
Sometimes we need to make changes to a game after the campaign is done. These may be artistic alterations, rules rewrites, perhaps even converting components, and while we will always endeavor to let you know about any changes that we need to do to a project, please remember that the final call is down to us. Yes, we love to listen to our backers – you’re vital, as without you the project won’t get made, and suggestions from backers often find themselves ending up in a game – but if we’re making a call on something that needs to be switched up, we’re doing it with good reason. We’ve learnt a lot over these past years and work with some highly talented people who really do know what they’re doing. If you’re alright with putting your trust in them and are willing to let them make an awesome game for you, we’re looking forward to having you along for the journey towards making a game that you'll enjoy for years to come.
Obviously, if you’ve got down this far into the Risks and Challenges section, you’re OK with reading things. It's great that you make sure that you read EVERYTHING that’s written on a page. The more you know about a game, the better you can determine if you want to pledge. We don't want you to get a game you won't enjoy; that's why we have the Game Salute Guarantee. We want to make sure that you go into this project with your eyes wide open and a brain full of detailed information about what you’re pledging towards. When everyone’s on the same page, that’s a wonderful thing and it helps us all greatly.
Now, sometimes life happens and a few people will want to cancel their pledge after the campaign has ended, and that’s fine too. We can handle this for you – all we need is for you to email Service@GameSalute.com with your username, real name, and the Amazon Payments Transaction ID that’s in the email you’ll receive after your money is collected when the campaign closes. Now take note: when we receive your funds, we only receive around 85% of what you paid thanks to various fees and charges, so whatever your pledge was you’ll get it back less 15% to cover those charges. Remember that you’re also able to cancel your pledge at any time during the campaign, so if you're not sure that you really want this or can't afford it at present, then this campaign may not be for you. It would be best to get a copy later through your favorite game store.
If this campaign doesn't fund, we’ll be disappointed; you’ll be disappointed… it’ll be a sea of frowns as far as the internet can see. Unfortunately, not every campaign hits the necessary goal, and if this project does not reach it's target, then it will not get made. Game Salute has an excellent track record in getting our projects funded, created, and delivered, so while we are always confident in what we do, we are reliant on you fine backers to help make this project a reality.
Thanks for supporting us. You're awesome!
